My Alpine sounds great.

I have a headliner... and I gotta think that helps with acoustics. And gotta love us that make our beloved JL's into a rock crawler, dragster, overlander, and an audiophiles dream!I will say it sounds a little better with the headliner but I don't have any complaints either way.
For sure! I've even been known to pick up grocerys in it, haha.I have a headliner... and I gotta think that helps with acoustics. And gotta love us that make our beloved JL's into a rock crawler, dragster, overlander, and an audiophiles dream!
Personally mine sounds great, is it audiophile quality, no but I knew that up front. It’s car audio. Home audio setup is McIntosh and B&W with two SVS PB-4000 subwoofers. It’s nuts.So my new Sahara came with the upgraded Alpine system and...it kinda' sucks. Has that tin can sound the many generic factory systems are known for. If this is a upgrade then I have to imagine the stock system is some Campbell soup cans with yarn connecting them?
I am not a audio guy at all and not into major upgrades but this system is lousy. What are your experiences and what upgrades have you made that were not extreme?
