So my new Sahara came with the upgraded Alpine system and...it kinda' sucks. Has that tin can sound the many generic factory systems are known for. If this is a upgrade then I have to imagine the stock system is some Campbell soup cans with yarn connecting them?

I am not a audio guy at all and not into major upgrades but this system is lousy. What are your experiences and what upgrades have you made that were not extreme?

In my experience the Alpine System has amazing Bass. The highs/voices are what is lacking. definitely planning on upgrading my tweeters/mid speakers eventually.

Jeep Wrangler JL Alpine upgraded sound system...seriously? EF48D5D9-7F27-47E5-98C5-37B02543CB5A

I put these in my 23. I really didn’t listen to the standard Alpine for long. Maybe one song on XM and then put these Terra Acoustics in. It’s a noticeable improvement. However, it’s not nearly as wow as the $2,000 setup I had in the 21. But the Terra Acoustics with the Alpine is clean and how it should have came from the factory.

I don't play music for the vehicles next to me but I did upgrade the dash and sound bar speakers to Kenwood 3.5in KFC-X3C to improve the mid and highs. They did improve the sound quality. Can you do better with a more extensive upgrade, yep but that isn't my priority.

I am happy with the factory subwoofer. My money is going to other mods to make more off road capable rather than to dump a bunch of money into a car audio system. I have already dumped plenty into my home system.

Very nice. Going to check those out!

Make sure you're using the line-in from your phone (with the phone volume up nearly all the way) or other external device instead of the radio or satellite. And don't forget to adjust the EQ both on the device and in the vehicle. The satellite reminds me of 1990s mushy streaming audio. That said, the standard stereo is not much worse except for lack of super-low bass frequencies.

Yep, that is absolutely accurate.

I’m a music lover and I know my Jeep Alpine has better sound than my old Benz with Bose speakers so I’m good as is.

Maybe you need to adjust the EQ settings in the Uconnect. I think the Alpine audio sounds freaking amazing for a Jeep. I am not even going to bother changing speakers.
This. I have actually sat in the garage blasting music with a huge smile on my face. Maybe I'm not as picky, but it really does sound awesome to me.

Mine sounds great. You sure you have the Alpine system? If you do maybe you need to ajust the EQ as mentioned above or something is not right.
