For anyone out there with an AEV procal snap on your 2024 Jeep, you may want to cross reference your corrected tire size against another programmer. Or perhaps just watch your speedo against your gps.
or maybe it’s just mine.
I have a 2024 2dr rubicon. Just had an AEV authorized shop instal an AEV dual sport lift and they installed the procal. Did a regear to 4:88 as well.
I immediately noticed my speed was slightly faster than gps. Just 2mph. I plugged in Jscan to check and noticed the wrong size. My tires are 35” ko2’s. The actual height of mine are about 34.3. Loaded on the ground. While the axle ratio is correct, the value set for tires was 35.77. The fact that it wasn’t rounded to the 10th place was the first strange thing.
i plugged in procal again and went ahead and reprogrammed 34.3. And went back to jScan. This time is said 35.73. Which kinda proved something was up.
To be sure, I used the procal to change the tire size to 35.3. After plugging back jScan, it showed tire size as 36.73. Which proves the procal was adding 1.43 for each input.
just to be extra sure , I had a tazer mini that I was planning to instal but never got around to it. I went ahead and installed it. The jScan had the same values as the tazer mini.
I don’t plan on overwriting the procal values with another programmer in fear of messing with the ECU. But I’m wondering if I should reprogram the procal snap with my actual size minus 1.43.
I spoke with AEV and they had no idea this was a thing. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced.
