Question for you guys running 40’s.

What am I missing. This is the right side of the Jeep. Drivers side is fine.

Why is it rubbing the Rock Hard sliders?

Haven’t had time to put it on the ramp or the forklift. Is it going to be worse when articulating?

Tons of work getting into 40's, including a decent amount of cutting. Still have some tweaking to the front section of the rock rails, but it's flexing well in just about every position except full Driver, or full Passenger steering angles.

I trimmed mine and got an alignment. You have to pust the axle out as much as you can.

Can you turn the same distance both directions from center?
Great question. Didn’t think about that. I’ll check.

That was my next thought. Push the axles forward and get an alignment. My last alignment everything was spot on. Drove great so I didn’t think I’d have to adjust control arms doing this. Didn’t add any height to it.

How far forward can you push it without affecting something else? Can I lengthen my control arms 1-21”? Will That affect something else in return?

I see all these guys on 40’s and haven’t heard of many issues like this.

Just my luck

Okay... so everything is tucking nicely with the forklift... ugh!
How much lift are you running?

Any idea how much I can lengthen the control arms?

I always had to know exactly what was going on with the engagement of the joints to ease my mind. I'd suggest loosening the jam nut and dropping the control arm on the adjustment side. Measure your joint stick out and then take the joint completely out of the control arm.

I'm betting you'll see a bunch of thread in there and you shouldn't get anywhere near close to the end. Post pics of the before stick out so I can see what's up.

That’s my hope. I don’t want to be anywhere near the end of engagement.

PPS... you don't want to push the axle too far forward or else your diff will start to get into your track bar. I'm running Dynatrac axles so the brackets may be different. But the lower control arms should measure close to get the axle centered under the bump stop.

My lower control arms are 24.25" from bolt center to bolt center.
Thank you.at least that gives me something to compare to.

How much lift are you running? Whose control arms are you using?

My rockers are made for more clearance. You can see how far back they go compared to yours.

Which rockers are you running? I liked these Rock Hard sliders because the provide protection so far forward. Now I see the downfall of them. I’ve been wondering if I have to change them up which ones to go with.
