So after some forum searching I’ve decided I might want to go 37s instead of 35s. The price difference on 5 tires is $100. Yes regearing will be done as I have 3.45s I do have the M220(Dana 44) rear and M186(Dana 30/35?) front. I know fender clearance will be an issue so I’m looking into that. Already planning for 35s so reinforced tailgate and spare tire adapter in the works. What else is needed to run 37s? I’m not opposed to getting the 35s but if I’m going to go 37s eventually I might as wok do it now. I won’t be doing any trails where 40s are recommended or needed. Some of the trails I’ve done in the past that were 33/35+ only have recently become 35/37+ only trails and they’re the more fun obstacle/technical trails. Otherwise it’s forest service roads and the occasional washout with ruts and pot holes.

Regearing? What do you have now? Fender clearance? Wheel offset?

Ball Joints was recommended when going to 37s, that is why I changed mine to Dynatracs recently in preparation to going to 37s

I see more guys wishing they did 37s out of the gate more than I see satisfied guys on 35s. Not that big of a leap really. As long as you’re aware of what going up in tire size brings with it, and it sounds like you do, then there’s nothing to worry about….just saying….

Whatever size you end up going with, you'll end up wishing you went 1 size bigger than that. It's the first unwritten rule of Jeep ownership.

I went with 37's for mine and, within a few weeks, I was like "I can't wait for these to wear out so I can get 38's or 39's."

I can't tell on my phone if you're talking 2 door or 4, anyway drive shaft length may come into play. Something to research

Currently stock everything. Stock sport 6MT 3.45s stock wheels stock fenders. I do have rubicon take off springs and shocks so there’s quite a bit of space in the wheel wells. Current clearance, I’m about 40” from ground to bottom of front fender and 41.125” from ground to bottom of rear fender. So about 9-10” of clearance from top of stock tire to bottom of fenders.

If you dont have a lift you might not have the space to flex them.

b/w 37 is always the right answer lol

This is my 37 sitting on stock '21 4Xe

Thats the gap on the rear, it rubs getting on my driveway. no rubbing on the interstate or going to the mall though.

Between the two sizes I always say go with 37s on the 4 door JL; however, for a 2dr Sport, you will be better off with 35s. 35s on a 2dr look like 37s on the 4 door. To clear Sport fenders with 37s at full flex you will have to lift your Jeep at least 3" or more which will have issues with your stock drive lines, stock control arms, stock track bars, give you a high center of gravity (with more body roll on corners and more tipsy on the inclines on the trails), and overall less comfortable driving experience. For a 2dr Sport, IMO a 2.5" lift and 35s is the sweet spot, especially if it is your daily driver.

Get 37" KM3s. They say 37 but are closer to 35s. Win win lol.

I have 44k miles on mine and they still have some life left.

As someone who lost their ass on a set of 35s after swapping to 37s 4k miles later, if you think you might want 37s, go 37s.

My main concern is that you own a Sport. Running 37's on Sport axles with Sport gearing might be a bit much. Do you plan to re-enforce/change the axles and re-gear?
