This was 2 miles from my house.... facts aren't quite right. Driver was the CHP Officer. Passengers were his wife, juvenile daughter, and brother in law who was not CHP. The BIL is the party on the released 911 call.
Love this perfect representation of the media in one photo...

Interestingly, tik-tok is not a thing in China. I am not sure if it's actually blocked or not since I never tried it there.
Everyone only uses WeChat...... for everthing.
Paying for something? Wechat. Ordering online? Wechat. Maps? Wechat. phone calls, social media..Well you get the idea.
Point is, tikitok has zero Chinese presence.
I found the video on posted on WeChat, but there is no other information except that the driver lost control and hit the other cars.
Off topic but some info for your questions.
TikTok is actively blocked in all of China by the PRC government, along with other well-known western services such as Google, YouTube, Facebook, Netflix, Reddit, and the list goes on and on and on.
WeChat is the Chinese tech industry’s successful attempt at making a “Super-App” where users can do pretty much everything required in day-to-day life using only one app. WeChat gets about 930 million active users monthly. This concept is being replicated by other companies in China and there are now competing Super-Apps such as AliPay and Meituan.
This whole thing came about as a result of the country’s ban of Google, including all of Google’s foreground and background services, which meant that Android devices became pretty much useless since one can’t do much with them without logging in to their Google account when setting up their android phone.
Meanwhile Musk is massively failing to also make “X” (formerly known as Twitter) a “Super-App” because that type of app is just not popular in the western world, where the existence of individual apps for every task is a much more established concept, where iPhones are massively more popular, and where there is full access to Google and all its’ corresponding services required for Android OS operation.

True, but mainly they only us wechat. Westerners need to use alipay because that's more or less the only one that lets you link a western credit card. And you literally cannot buy things without QR code payment. Even places like McD's and starbucks. At most McD's you cannot even order with a person, you have to scan the code, which brings up the menu in Wechat or Ali pay, then you get what you want and pay. Naturally it's all in Chinese. Which while I can speak enough to have conversations, I cannot read.
They skipped the entire credit care phase in China.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I listen to too much bs on tv. Tiki-Tok or TikTok as it is really called always led me to believe it was from China especially the way there were looking to make it go away is the US

Looks like the windshield is tinted and the clouds are reflecting off it. ?‍♂
The airbags went off when he struck the first jeep, so the gas that inflated the bags is being released in the cabin and obscuring the driver as he gets closer to the camera recording. Having had airbags go off before, I compare it to slapping chalkboard erasers together to clean them and being left in a cloud of white powder. The airbags look partially inflated when he gets close, so that doesn't help either.

There’s no way this happens to the extent in this video. Every road vehicle ever made has brakes that are much more powerful than the engine.

Literally all you have to do is slam the brakes to stop this. It’s more likely the driver panicked and as is very common, kept pushing the accelerator more thinking it was the brakes.
... or it was a woman behind the wheel ?

Tik tok was created in a chinese based business, but they don't allow it in China. It was later incorporated in the Caymans and based in LA. It's parent company is in China. Should say something about what's the true intent of the app... some say mind control, other's say to dumb us down, others just to distract us.

The stupidity started long before the airbags deployed

So, what DID happen in this video, then? Or, what link is its source?
No one knows, that is what we are trying to find out. I have a semi popular non Jeep Instagram account and people send me this stuff all the time. They said they found the video on a website. That's all I got.

Tick tock is backed by Chinese investments which is China at large because you know that's how they work but they don't let their citizens use it.
