The Sport with 3.21s would be a dog, but maybe not so bad with the little stock wheels/tires.
As a former driver of said combo in my previous JK Sport, it was fine for day to day driving, especially with the manual transmission, even with the 17” 255/75/R17 tyres.

However, I’m sure with the auto, especially the old 4-speed, it would feel a lot more ‘canine’ in nature, and there you would likely need the larger axle ratios to feel any pep, as the first gear ratio of the 3.21 on the NSG370 manual would be the equivalent of a 5:1 axle on the 4-speed auto.

Yep, plus the 14% torque boost from 1k to 3k rpms that we expect from the updated 3.6. Maybe they'll surprise us and do a little better than that. I doubt it, but hey, you never know, right?
Hey Dan, and all, circling back: Are the Torque and Horsepower curves available yet for this new 2018 Pentastar V6 Gas engine for the JL?

I'd ask Ape. They should be out there because the 2017 Cherokee has the updated 3.6.

Thanks, Maybe..... a quick google search on 2017 Cherokee, showed about 200ft lb @ about 2000rpm, yet it was in NMeters, so tried to convert. Like to find it 2018 JL American, if it's out there?
