It has arrived! Big Bend BOH trail next weekend, so sometime in June I'll get it installed along with the Borla system for my C8. Installation looks fairly easy and straight forward with aFe supplying the necessary hardware. My guess is it goes on sale again this week for Memorial Day!

...and done! The install was very simple and straightforward; easy solo DIY job. I drove up on ramps just to have a little extra clearance, but it wasn't necessary. Basic hand tools are all that's required, but a flex-head ratchet and ratcheting wrenches are a bonus (you'll use 13, 15, 17, & 18mm).

No additional volume or obnoxious noises at idle or cruise, but a good deep tone under heavy throttle in the upper-RPM band! Very happy with the part. Fit & finish was perfect and slipped right into place.

Just curious, but what are you running for everything back, like cat, midpipe and muffler sections?

This was the first exhaust mod so the remainder is still stock. I will likely add aFe's midpipe w/resonator next since it is also a bolt-in affair.

Glad it was easy to do, plan to get mine installed this weekend and a loop delete from them too. Going to have a shop do both so they can be welded.
I’m hoping it dosent make my flowmaster outlaw system sound to crazy.

Pardon my newbness, but what does the loop-delete accomplish or what is the point of it?

Did your Flowmaster system replace the mid-pipe already?

The loop delete is just a straight pipe piece that replaces the drivers loop.
the loop tends to get banged up if off roading or can be in the way of you go a long arm kit.
Several companies make a loop delete and afe also makes a replacement loop.

Yes the flowmaster I got was a full cat back it hooked up to where the y pipe ends. There is I think 3 different flowmaster outlaw systems one is a dual tailpipe exit out the back and has the muffler in stock location, there is one that is a high tuck system that has the muffler in front of the axle with a turn down right after it before the axle, and the one I got is high tuck also but it places the muffler up where the stock resonator is and has the tailpipe come out just past the axle under the frame.

What is the purpose of the loop itself? This is the first exhaust I have seen set up this way.

The point is equal-length exhaust pipes for each engine bank to smooth out and balance the sound. An example of something without equal-length would be the Subaru WRX which gives it that very unique, love it or hate it, rumble.

Gotcha, guess that makes sense. Id have to say, for a V6, it has a nice sound. I think it sounds better than a 3.6L Camaro I had. Its also been the smoothest. I have a bit of a sputter on cold start but unlike all the Chevy's I have owned, it doesnt shimmy all the time while idling lol.

I would agree, for a V6 the Pentastar 3.6 is pretty nice. It's not bad in the Dodges either. I have its cousin, the 3.2L, in my Cherokee Trailhawk and that sounds much nicer than the incredibly rough and course 2.0T.

I had the 3.6l in a Town and Country my wife drove from 2015 to 2021. Had 16k miles when we bought it and 55k Mike’s when we traded it in. It was ok. Had to replace the oil filter housing and a thermostat in it. The housing pissed me off as I changes the oil about a month earlier lol. She drove so little that I may have had 500 miles on it.
