Headers for the 3.6

How are headers on these? Do they sound good? I just ordered the Magnaflow 19388, but I’m curious how headers would sound also.

Can't do headers on the 3.6, it does not have exhaust manifolds in a traditional sense. The exhaust passages are cast into the heads.

Might consider a less restrictive mid pipe, something like a flowmaster, but it may introduce drone

AFE made 3.6 performance headers with and without cats.................If anybody out there has a set of 3.6L AFE headers without cats (race series)......I would take them off your hands.

The only issue I see is that it's made with 409 stainless vs 304. 409 has 90% iron content so it will rust overtime, especially if your in the North East

Looks like pretty solid midrange gains on an otherwise stock vehicle (per the dyno chart notes). I'm guessing only a minimal increase in exhaust volume when retaining the stock muffler too.

I'd imagine it should still outlast the OEM piping. I had a 409 system on a car up in Minnesota and it held up fine after years of salty winters.

Buddy of mine had 2 C7s that he threw the keys to me for a couple hours about the town w/ my wife. He bought a blue C8 several months ago and has yet to throw them this time lol

As an update, I just ordered this today since they have a sale running. Hopefully it'll get here quickly so I can install it before our roadtrip to Big Bend National Park for Memorial Day weekend chasing more Jeep BOH trail badges.
