As a former driver of said combo in my previous JK Sport, it was fine for day to day driving, especially with the manual transmission, even with the 17” 255/75/R17 tyres.The Sport with 3.21s would be a dog, but maybe not so bad with the little stock wheels/tires.
However, I’m sure with the auto, especially the old 4-speed, it would feel a lot more ‘canine’ in nature, and there you would likely need the larger axle ratios to feel any pep, as the first gear ratio of the 3.21 on the NSG370 manual would be the equivalent of a 5:1 axle on the 4-speed auto.
