I feel pretty smart when my wife says, “”You’re acting like a 6th grader”.
Shit, I might have a grade on you - my wife says I'm a 12 year old!

Not identical but close enough for arguments sake. 38s vs 39s, weight within a few hundred pounds, lift heights the same, etc. I know you east coast guys don't have the room/legal ability to drive as fast, so of course you'll get better fuel economy. Out here the posted speed limits are between 70 and 80 and even the big rigs are rolling that fast. Theoretically both engines would benefit the same by driving slower so I'll still bet on the 2.0t getting 30% better fuel economy. It accelerates quicker, pulls way harder at altitude, and seems to have similar reliability. In my experience the sound is the only draw back, and if the 3.6L sounded like a Hemi that might mean something. It doesn't. Therefore I would choose the 2.0t in the OPs mythical, all other things being equal scenario.
Local highways here are 70mph, which means a steady 85mph until someone smacks into something.

Ok I know you asked me not too say yet but this is pretty big news. Remorseless is going to be on Americas Got Talent and he’s been practicing a trick that’s a pretty sure win with 3 regular beer bottles. But he really wants me to send 3 40s of 0ldE because he‘s sure to really impress the judges. That’s why he’s so relentless about the beer thing. Here’s the short video teaser he sent me.
