I have a printed manual from 2013 and updated it with small changes from 2015 online. Any changes since then? Have New Mopar gaskets, good torq wrench, dial gauge, heads have been machined, new bolts.

Using a torque to yield bolt?

Do yourself a favor, utilize a far superior fastener-ARP bolt.

An easy button for about $200 more over factory bolts would be P1 Manufacturing Cyl Head studs that are made in Missouri. I called them and their 3.6 Pentastar studs get torqued to 105 ft lbs. Get a Quinn torque adapter that’s within 1% of target and you’re good to go. I have a few torque wrenches but none of them are 1% accurate. A good torque angle torque wrench can be pricey. Then those torque angle adapters with the dial can move around.

I’m getting close to getting my heads off so I’ve been planning ahead.

Whenever I torque head bolts, I torque to value, wait 20 minutes and torque to value again. I’m guessing that’s what the 40/41 is from.
Thanks I have few torque wrenches some manual click some digital, but I doubt I’m with in 1 ft lbs every time so that makes sense, I appreciate your help šŸ‘

Yea, weird; came from my 3.6 factory manual.
NP I got the gist of it. It seems the newer manuals are only available electronically with a subscription, I’ve found older manuals in pdf (IIHF?) on line but not specific to the pug family with higher compression. The newer the manual better details and pics etc.

Wondering what others are doing for manuals?

You can get Alldata DIY for a month at a time. I think it was about $20 but I recently signed up for 3 years for a little over a $100.
