Has anyone had an issue with the sensor that turns on the headlights when it is dark out? Mine went out today, the lights are on in full daylight. The Jeep is 3 months old. I was wondering if it had anything to do with the new dash, or just a bad coincidence. My '18 JL still works fine.

New dash, explain please. The sensor is the little black plastic dome that sits atop the dash on the driver's side.

The '24s changed the middle of the dash to accommodate the larger screen. The dome is gone. There is now a sensor right in the middle of the dash at the top of the screen in front of what I assume is a heat sink for the screen.

Just an unfortunate defect and inconvenience . Good thing it’s under warranty. Just get it taken care of. Defects happen it is what it is. You are likely not the first and for sure won’t be the last that will come across this issue.

Hi Patrick,

We are sorry to learn about your headlight sensor concerns. We would be happy to connect you with a case manager who can provide you with extra support alongside the dealership. Please send us a private message with your VIN.

Hi @JeepCares my 2024 Jlu wrangler is having the transmission issues and says service transmission with no codes showing. Dealer says it’ll be 45 days to get a new sensor. Won’t give me a rental car. So I’m not able to get to work as a paramedic. I literally just got the second oil change on my brand new jeep the day before this started. Now the case managers haven’t even called me with my case number or anything. It’s been a week now the dealer won’t help me at all. And no one is telling me anything. The vin # is 1C4PJXDG2RW212422

Don't assume Jeep Cares is going to see this, you should probably start a new thread for your issue and then "@" tag them to get their attention ...
