Recently purchased a 24 JLUR with 3.6 engine and 8 speed automatic transmission in January 2024. The Jeep has about 400 miles on it now. I’ve noticed a rough change of gears between 3rd and 4th gear at slow speeds. It has become more noticeable the more miles I’ve have driven. It almost seems that it hangs in 3rd gear too long which causes the rough shift into 4th gear. I have an appointment March 1st, to get it looked at, but was curious if anyone else has experienced the same issue and if so, what if anything has fixed it. It has no issues if I am changing gears when accelerating at faster speeds, usually happens under 30mph. Appreciate any input.

I had the exact same issue with literally the exact same symptoms you’re describing. JLUR 2.0 engine. Dealer ended up replacing transmission entirely at approximately 22k miles.

I have the exact same issue with my 2024 3.6. 3rd and 4th gear down and upshifts are terrible. In traffic get the clunking when shifting. On acceleration to the freeway performs flawlessly. Something is definitely wrong with it. Sounds like a good amount of people have the same issue.

Have you taken yours to a dealer? If so, what if anything did they do? Dropping mine off today. Please let me know.

I did last week. I dropped it off on Monday and by Thursday didn't hear anything. So I called and they said oh we haven't looked at it yet. Possibly tomorrow. I said forget it. I'll pick it up tomorrow. Needed it for the weekend. Why make an appt and keep it for a full week and did nothing. Gotta find another dealership. Let us know what they tell you.

They performed a reset on the transmission. The technician said everything was within spec and no codes. They drove it 15 miles At various speeds. I still notice it. They want me to drive it for a few hundred miles and let them know. I will. They are a good dealership. More to follow.…

Mines always done that. It’s almost always in the morning leaving my neighborhood and some times randomly. Sometimes it’s way harder than others. I have reason to believe that it’s temperature related but, can’t prove that.

Have you read other threads here and on other sites,? A lot of people have had full trans replacement. Keep going back. Seems like three times in is a charm or test drive with the tech.

Mine actually shifts well when it's cold. It starts up after warmup.
