Just ask @cosine he knows!
Hey .. thanks for the tip!! the RC headlights on Ebay going for $159 are the RCH5300 model.. which are the ones with the DRL Halo.. they go for $550... I just ordered them... I now just need an Angry Grill.. LMAO
Interesting, didn't know they had one w/ no DRL function (guess mine are the 5300's too), glad you scored that deal, that's $90 less than what mine cost. Need to spend a bit of time adjusting them as they are bright AF and if they are too high you'll get flashed by almost every car. I got mine adjusted so the light beam runs out about 40 feet, and the good thing is they are simple to adjust :)
Oh, and gotta just say no to any grill that's angry lol.

Visiting the dealership and found this tiny update to all 2023 model with the LED Headlights, the insides of the light are now black instead of chrome. Blue Jeep is a 2022. Compare to the 2023 Gray Jeep's headlights.

There's also been a mild change to the LED tail light aesthetic.

Huh? I spent more time looking at these pictures than I spent "working hard" today, and I can't see a difference aside from different angles or lighting. Just like back in the 90's when there were those pictures that were just a bunch of random shapes and colors, but when you looked just right you could see this incredible 3D image - Same as then, I really want to see a difference in these pictures, but I got nothin...

Are you sure that's not just another visual/stylistic glitch that was added to the wonky '23 configurator and its generated photos?

I'll have to look again, but always thought my '23 LED tail lights looked more like the top picture (Hydro). The reverse output is still pretty shitty, so I'm assuming they really didn't improve anything (though making it 25¢ cheaper to produce while raising prices is certainly a possibility).

I know several Jeep owners on a motorcycle forum that I frequent. To a person, they all said the LED tails on the '23s were changed slightly. The images from the Wrangler configurator website, from which those photos were generated, seems to confirm the change that they've mentioned. If it is just a processing/rendering glitch, that's for Stellantis to worry about.

Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out exactly what would've been changed on them. The difference in the configurator pics looks purely like a lighting/rendering change (build a '22 and a '23 Sting-Gray and you'll see what I mean).

If you happen to find out, I'd be curious to know what they thought was different about them. Below are pics of a '22 Sting-Gray 4XE and a '23 Reign 4XE IRL, and I can't exactly spot any major differences, but the '23 certainly isn't all washed out with lighter red plastic like the rendered pic appears to show..

Another consideration is how difficult or easy is it to adjust the aftermarket headlights you are considering. Factory housings have the elevation adjustment accessible by simply opening the hood. They're right on top. No removal of other components or difficult access. Something to consider if you load your jeep for trips to where the headlights are above the proper aim.

Yeah, that's definitely something to consider. Luckily the Oculus and Rough Country sets have simple to access hex nuts w/ a rubber cap to keep out moisture. Takes just a few minutes to adjust both lights.

This thread is a 2/10; would not come back.

Two identical pictures of headlights saying something changed without any specificity beyond some color notes. What ensues is 2 pages of people discussing their aftermarket headlights - nothing to do with the pictures posted by OP.

Are my ‘23 headlights different or not? Are they downgraded due to cost & supply chain issues or upgraded due to research? Are they more or less lumens?Did the taillight design actually change or did photoshop got another year of subscriptions?

So many questions and 0 answers in here.

Very minor change on the headlights, took me a minute to see it too. No it’s not going to measurably change output, your lights are just fine.

The tail lights look a like rendering change only to me. The 23 is illuminated with the reflectors showing as well. I think these are the same based on the pics here

Looks more like a supply availability change that might even occur within current MY production depending on polypropylene availabilities

Potentially. It’s clearly not a refresh or anything. It may be as others have mentioned here, to mitigate light scatter, or supply chain issues, or ??? It’s just something of note that OP noticed, I don’t see it as any cause for concern, more of an “oh, they sure did… huh”

Hmm, a thread got off track but still provided some help that wasn't initially intended, that is something that rarely happens :)

Ok - So here is my stingray 2023 taillight to compare with the 2022 stingray you posted. I'm not sure if it's just pixel/clarity in the picture, but perhaps the inner section right above and below the reverse light section, is a bit clearer on the 2023?
