Somewhere offshore there are several people in a room working for Jeep chat. Each time they answer our update requests, they monitor this forum and see us posting our updates - while they are laughing their asses off.

;)
I wondered about that myself.. I asked the Chat lady where she works from. She said just outside of Detroit.

I was wondering if Jeep has stepped up their frame inspection, prior to a build and if this will still be an issue for the 2 doors. Any concerns about a reweld over some of the POROUS welds that were posted? I didn't see a huge issue with the splatter or the paint chip/rusty welds, I will just por15 some spots and then fluid film the undercarriage twice a year for the first couple years

I searched all over the forums and elsewhere for this issue and only saw actual evidence on two pictures and one hearsay. Am I missing something?

There is a thread here about the welding that does show some bad porous welds imo. I didn't think the splatter was an issue nor did I think the slight rust and lack of paint was an issue, just a little time under the jeep for me.

Sorry if I missed it prior, I have LED's, how about you?

I saw that thread. There was one single Jeep shown with the porous welds. I didn't see the end result. Hopefully the owner got a new Jeep.

One is hardly a quality control issue .

Yup agreed but I wonder what they did for him? Just curious if welding over a weld is good practice
