Just got this from my dealer ... "Your Jeep is in framing status. This means it went into production. I will keep you posted when it gets shipped"

I looked at the codes and I guess that is "E" status.

It's a hardtop with a manual transmission.

That's promising. Ordered my 2dr, Rubi on 12/23 (MT, V6, HT). Dealer told be ship date estimated for 4/26. Can't wait to start seeing these make it owners hands. Especially mine.

I ordered 12/15 and have a ship date of 4/20.
Still in D1, so nervous it might not make it. I remember reading some people say that the initial "ship date" dealer's get is actually the build date, so who knows.

Since neither the window sticker tracker OR the forum spreadsheet has shown any 2 door progress, MY hope is that they are building them with a 1 week yard hold and not updating the tracking system. Our friend from Reddit implied that for turbos.

Friday the 13th, four month anniversary order date. Three months in D status purgatory. Four days since dealer’s FCA rep checking on phantom order, nada. JL Rubicon, 3.6L V6, 8-spd. granite crystal, leather seats, trailer tow-HD electrical group, 3 piece hardtop, led lighting group. Jeeps inadequate sourcing of parts and inability to ship completed Wranglers leaves me little confidence. Twenty two 2 doors sitting in D1 on spreadsheet, all but 3 ordered after me, no answers from Chrysler as to how they sequence these orders for build....Sheesh

Does anyone have any idea as to whether switching from premium soft top to regular soft top would expedite the production/ shipping process?

I'm heading to the beach the week of memorial day and would do anything to have my order arrive before then. Unfortunately, I checked the box for premium soft top instead of regular.

According to my dealer, once you hit D status there is no changing. So if you're that far you are committed. If you start over ifI imagine you go to the back of the line.

I was able to make two changes while in D, the dealer can’t, but if they contact their FCA rep they can. I ordered in December, added cold weather in January and Steel bumpers end of March. Currently in D1 now

Most dealers seem ignorant of the fact that you most definitely can amend your order if you are in D status. As hrhnick says, the dealer's new car manager or general manager needs to contact their FCA rep and they can make the change.

As proof, attached are my original "D" status POC and my most recent amended "D1" status POC. The colour was changed from Billet Silver to Bright White and added LED lights, leather interior and proximity keyless. The order dates and VON are unchanged. I've blacked out the VIN, but it remains the same.

So you also fell for the obvious FCA conspiracy to hold your order until you add all available options. I was well on my way to gradually updating to a fully loaded Rubicon until they slipped up and prematurely moved me to D1 after 3 months.

Well today marks one month since order placed. Not nearly as bad as some of you, but sad to see my order just sitting in D Status.

Hello D Status, my old friend. I’ve come to talk with you again.

Even though you can amend your order, I wouldn't in your case because I don't believe there is any way to get it by the Memorial Day weekend. My estimated build date of April 28 was assigned a week ago. That means, they were booking production for at least the next 3 weeks.

It takes a few days for order changes made by the FCA rep to get into the system. I would guess that if you add that to at least a 3 week advance booking, you wouldn't get scheduled until mid-May at the earliest with a regular soft top. Since that's the same time as the start of premium soft top builds, you might was well stay in line to get what you originally wanted.
