And what I'm saying is that most 2 door sport buyers probably just shelled out the extra $1300 for A/C instead of remaining without.

But if anyone has gone without A/C I'd find it interesting to know. For a minute I thought about going without.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood you. Yeah probably not too many without AC. I know after having 4 without it when I was younger I'd never do back.

I understand that people want clear communication. I don't believe they can give it. This is not the same as waiting on a shipment of a single part that you go and pick up at the store when it arrives.

They have a back log of Jeeps sitting. Once these soft tops come in they need to sort them out and get them loaded. From here they need to get them onto rail cars or truck. They have so many that there are not enough rail cars and trucks to simply do a mass shipment. They will need to ship X amount and wait for the rail cars / trucks to return for another load. During this time weather and other issues can delay schedules even further that they cannot predict.

So they are left with giving vague time frames knowing that there are so many other things that can happen and change any time they give. It is the best they really can do as it is not as simple as just shipping the Jeep straight to your dealer. I understand the frustration but many of us are making it out to be a simple process and it really is not.
I understand the difficulty, but they are a big company and have sophisticated management systems and coming up with their best guess based on the best info available is not too much to ask. All I hear from most of these post, as well as my thoughts, just keep us posted. We can decide what to do with what we hear. It is sad, that the only info we get is on this forum because jeep chat, Jeep cares, or my dealer have no clue. Like someone posted earlier, we will not know April 9th slipped until we read these posts; I would expect from any good company, an up date on any item I ordered and placed money down to show my commitment to the deal. I ordered 12/15 and told 5 to 6 weeks and never officially told anything different.

Its getting closer!
I ordered mine 12/31.
Talked to jeep chat last Wednesday.
They're still waiting on "materials"
Production is switched from mid March to 2nd week in April
Then being out in California i haven't a clue how long its going to take to bring them up over the mountainside

Well Stated... folks need to take a chill pill or buy a JK... Quality first...
A chill pill huh? When exactly did you order your 2-door? What are driving now that you had to turn your lease in? If you haven't walked a mile in my shoes, I suggest you zip it. ;)

I don’t see any references to it yet, so here is the Hooniverse taking a 2 door off-road. Nothing we don’t already know but still, hey, 2 door.

This was in Automotive News today........................
Jeep JK Wrangler output to end April 7, supplier notice shows

Auto supplier Hyundai Mobis North America filed a notice with Ohio officials that indicates production of the current Jeep Wrangler, widely known by the two-letter code JK, will cease in early April.

I sympathize with you 100%. My rants on this topic are all over this forum. It seems to be in FCA’s best interest to keep dumping vague info, keeping secret 2 door production info and anybody interested or waiting on their order in the dark.

FCA blows hard. I am hopeful my JL 2dr will be awesome. It is getting harder to focus on the goal line.

I took a few days off from tracking and reading threads. I also gave up trying to keep up with the 'Order Tracking for your jeep wrangler' thread but, I am current with this and other threads. Today starts the 7 week from my order date :(.

I just checked this sites order tracking spreadsheet - I do not see any 2 doors on the D1 sheet. I believe Warc1 has been in and out of D1 a couple of times? We are within 30 days of rumored 2 door production kicking off, anybody have a 2 door in D1 status?

Yeah I have deleted alot of my watched threads also. It was getting crazy and I was getting frustrated. I have said it many times here, I got a work van and it comes when it comes. I would rather shit be squared away before I get it and not me taking it to the dealer to get it fixed.

Just finished speaking with Jeep Chat. Only new development I can report is that they have stopped congratulating me on my recent order...

Haven’t seen a 2 door yet. I have orders posted as D1 that don’t show up on the FCA tracking site and nothing in the US as KZ yet but will keep looking. Eventually, they will get built.

Just got done with my weekly jeep chat. was told unequivocally that 2drs are currently in production. the reason for the delay on 2drs was getting the new equipment into place. They confirmed there was a delay getting softops too. I was told not worry though , because they have it all straightened out now , and I should be getting my jeep soon! Oh how that warmed the cockles of my heart.
