So I got some concrete info on my order. Dealer says its scheduled for the week of the 23 rd April, so Im looking at End of May delivery. Said he spoke to the factory (after I sent a long mail complaining about a lack of info)

Maaaaan that sucks balls.

Long time lurker, have been really excited about the 2-door, order been in for awhile, disappointed like everyone with everything. I'm going to cancel and get the new G wagon 4x4. It's beautiful...

Kidding of course...my salary is not in the same universe to afford one (MSRP 227K). I admittedly have always had a thing for the G wagon (the only Benz I ever liked in any way, shape, or form), interesting to see them making a "true off-road" one. Just wanted to throw this out to everyone as a little distraction. Try to have a great weekend!

I will never understand why people like these, other than to flaunt the price tag. That thing looks soooo ugly to me.

i sent a note over to jalopnik to see if they’d cover and also research this bungled delay on 2 doors after jeep pitched the whole “true to the original” nonsense for the JL redesign, hope they pick it up and write something

maybe peeps should start emailing auto bloggers and point them to this thread!

First let me say I don't disagree with much of what you have said, But if no one (us) communicated about how unhappy many of us are (5 of my last 6 vehicles have been Jeep vehicles and I have a new JL ordered 2/5) we could be pretty sure things would be NO worse than they are now. How do we know this forum and others are having no impact? It's kind of like being unhappy and complaining about our politicians but not voting in elections.

I worked in upper management for 32 years in a fortune 100 company, let me tell you, brand reputation is a big deal and if it isn't for Jeep - they don't get it.

Thanks for your response. My message was not to put FCA in any beneficial light. I’m just as unhappy as anybody on this forum concerning the entire lack of honest and reputable communication regarding this entire JL rollout. I’m waiting and wondering if I will order my 2 door.

I was actually hoping FCA would be concerned about all of the very upset people due to their lack of concern for all of us loyal consumers. This comes from everything I’ve seen on this entire forum concerning their vague timeline dates resulting in a large amount of complaints. I respect all of the people who have voiced their displeasure; unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be getting through.

JeepCares knows very well how upset many people are on this forum. You would think they would at least relay this info to the proper management level; and they probably are. So this leads me to believe FCA does not care if they’re upsetting their customers and ultimately degrading their reputation as a decent company.

I'm available this weekend to go to the Toledo Jeep plant and do a peaceful protest? We could lay down on the four door assembly line. The police and the media would come and get the word out.

If everyone is busy, we could advertise on a billboard outside the Jeep Toledo plant:

Neither idea would speed up two door production, but it might be a good for anger management.
