2-door Alpine subwoofer replacement/upgrades

I've messed around with the 2-door sub in a few other threads, mostly by adding polyfill & sound deadening to the OEM enclosure, but recently thought about a full subwoofer and/or amplifier replacement. I found the Tang Band W8Q-1071F rated 250W RMS @ 4Ω, but it is discontinued. Likely not much better than OEM anyway.


Recently I found the BLAM S812 & MB812 rated 500W RMS with dual 2Ω voice coils.

Here's some info of the stock subwoofer in the JK which I believe is similar or identical to the JL 2-door:

I put the JL Audio stealthbox into my 2D while adding a 5ch amp and aftermarket radio. It's pricey but sounds great.

I've thought about the JL Audio Stealthbox, or even the OEM 4-door sub/trim. Just don't really want to take up any space if possible.

I installed the 5ch Jl Audio vx1000/5i but still looking for a solution for better sub in my 2DR, isnt the JL Audio Stealthbox designed for 4drs?

It is, but it's been confirmed to fit the 2-door, but depending on year/options you might be limited to passenger side only. Also the rear seat armrest space is somewhat limited. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...to-your-2dr-today.81248/page-251#post-2750451
