Not going to get involved in the transmission debate, but I do believe at 60k it's time for new spark plugs on the 2.0T.

@Jgreer0109 I would expect the dealer to at least recommend that.

Please let us know what they say about the rattle.

Yes, at 60k is plugs.. I might do mine early just cause I guess. I tend to do things sooner than recommended. I have the time so whynot.

I've been watching some videos trying to decide if it's something I want to tackle myself. Seems to be not too difficult if you're careful and have the right tools.

I am a little nervous about disconnecting some of the connectors that are in the way now that they've been baking under hood for 60k miles. Also getting the plugs out without them falling apart or falling into the block. I've only done plugs on a motorcycle where they're easily accessible.

Let us know how it goes!

I did spark plugs on my '06 GMC Sierra a few years ago and it was not fun. Most of them came out easily, but it was the 2-3 that were real bears that made it suck. Then I had one cable get mangled and wound up having to source whole new wiring harnesses.

Any idea what a shop would charge to do the spark plug swap for you?

Ah man that sucks that happened, I hope our newer Jeeps should have it a bit easier.

I don't have an idea yet, but I do plan on getting a quote in a few weeks from a good local shop I've used in the past and will update.

I imagine if you bring your own parts it should be about an hour of labor, but maybe someone here knows what the billable time is for Jeep service departments to do this for our reference.

Here goes. Wait until 100,000 miles for any maintenance. The rattle is normal for the turbo.
