I have had issues with the auxiliary battery draining the main battery so I found some tips on how to bypass the auxiliary battery while leaving it in place. What I read was that if you remove the F42 fuse and disconnect the correct negative terminal to the auxiliary battery, it disables the auto stop-start feature and takes the auxiliary battery out of the loop. However...
I disconnected the auxiliary battery negative terminal and removed the F42 fuse. And was still getting the light on the dash until I disconnected all of the negative terminals from the main battery for about 7 or 8 minutes. Then the light on the dash remained off.
I now have a new issue even after disconnecting the negative from the auxiliary battery and roping it off and removing the fuse. And yes, I've double, triple checked that I've removed the correct fuse. The auto start stop continues to shut down the engine after doing all of this. I thought removing that fuse would shut down that process, but it has not ...when I come to a red light, the car will still do the auto stop ...any thoughts?
