So I was at my dealer inquiring about 35 KO2’s - no lift JLUR. I asked if they could calibrate the speedometer afterward for me and he replied with: “no need, it will self calibrate up to 35’s. They always have.” Seems like a buncha horse shyit to me. Is this true?

I did 35s with no lift, it was getting 13mpg on the highway before I recalibrated, it would not go in to 8th gear.
After the recal it shifts in to 8th a bit easier and gets better mpg city and highway.

They are either lying or dumb. Maybe both.

You need to recalibrate, either through the dealer or a TAZER.

What did you recalibrate with? Taser?

I’m just scratching my head here. Why would they even think this??? Biggest Jeep dealer here in TN.

Easy way to find out for yourself, put speedometer app on your phone and drive down the road, then you’ll know for sure that they are indeed full of crap. :)

This seems to be a popular myth floating around the Internet.

Who did you talk to? The front desk, a mechanic, or service manager?

Never go back.
Def not going to. Makes me a bit concerned cause I wanted to have that mopar lift installed there to keep my warranty. Does it matter if I do it at a different dealer where I bought it from?

I used my TAZER to recalibrate.
Like UNC Rubicon said, get yourself a Tazer. There is just so much that you’ll be able to do with it. Well worth the money.
