Hey all!
Just picked up a new '24 Earl 4XE last month and figured I'd share the build I got goin on.
3 years ago I did something probably everyone who does and eventually regrets and sold my built up '15 JKU Rubi
Here we are at Windrock
And a little beauty shot
Well, I figured it was time to get back in the Jeep game and the deals they are throwing around on the 4XE(yes I've read about all the issues and whatnot, I'll take my chances) were too good to pass up so I picked this up a few days after black friday
'24 4XE Jeep Beach Edition in Earl. Basically from what I can tell it started as a Sport and then upgraded with a few packages that included Rubi Axles, rear locker, Willys/Rubi suspension, Willys wheels, Rubi high line fender, Katz Skin leather interior, color matched hardtop and some other things.
It wasn't going to stay stock for long and the ordering of parts started pretty much immediately. I have a friend who gets Rock Krawler parts at basically cost so it was a no brainer to order a lift from them. So that's what I did! While waiting for the lift to come in some other parts started showing up!
40" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T
Which will be installed on some Method 105 beadlocks I bought off a friend who is going to 1 ton axles and can't use them anymore
Motobilt Thomahawk Frame Chop front bumper and Evo Bomber Rockers
Who else loves cutting the frame of brand new Jeeps!
Bumper, Bad lands winch and RadShock LEDs installed
Motobilt Rear Crusher Bumper installed
And now the good stuff!
Rock Krawler 4.5" Adventure - X Mid-arm "No-Limits" System and Adams 1350 front/rear drive shafts showed up finally and I got started on the install.
Worth it!
Very cute Jeep. Out with the old
In with the new
Evo Rockers on and how she sits today
Still plenty more to do to her. New gears are sitting in my garage waiting for my friends lift to be available in the next few weeks. She has 4.10s in there now and, while she doesn't complain too much, bigger gears are def in order.
Need to fix the steering geometry, new tie rod, drag link and track bar relocation bracket will be ordered soon, probably stick with rock krawler stuff. Hydro assist is already being planned as well. My friend I mentioned above currently has a redneck ram setup and will not need the ram part in the future so I'll adapt that to mine.
Then we'll hit the trails, Windrock trip will be scheduled in the new year and we'll see how she compares to my old rigl
If you've stuck around this long thanks! I still can't believe I've gotten all this done in less than a month but it feels so good to be back driving a Jeep and in the Jeep family again!
