Finally after 60days of waiting the JLUR got delivered.
1) I noticed the oil level is above the marks on dipstick/dipwire, dont understand how thats possible dont they check that at the factory when they built it, now i got to empty 1/2 to 1 liter out i guess... or is that where it needs to be?
2) water was leaking in from above rearview mirror, guess i could just pull the weatherstripping forward a bit? Is that normal?
3) got the alpine system with 8.4" the sound is ridiculously horrible, anyone know of any options for that to help get some quality sound, without replacing amps,receivers etc
4) theres a few scratches on some of the framing where bare metal is visible,not sure if i should just paint it and its done...
5) in regards to rustproofing is there a decent methodolgy to it? I know the jks had plugs available for frame so water doesnt pool up in there, is the JL vulnerable to that as well, Or can it be just rust proofed at a shop and its good to go?
Im looking to keep this jeep more as a vehicle for long term and not a trade in if theres anything else i missed to help ensure this jeep is fit for duty/maintained properly any advice i get would be beneficial. Thanks so much.
