"Dimmer Controls

With the parking lights or headlights on, rotating the right dimmer control upward will increase the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Rotating the left dimmer control will adjust the interior and ambient light levels."

It's subtle and stupid how little it adjusts. You really have to watch for it.
Yeah, I honestly do not get the point of the separate control for this. Time would have been better spent making the wiper control do one wipe of the back window when pushed down.

Or making my jl dome light bright, or making that adjustment go from off to as bright as when the doors are open.

They added this feature to give people something to complain about.

Thanks for all the responses. I checked the Owners Manual but didn't see it. Guess I skipped over it.

I do much better with PDF format for Owners Manuals, but the download page has a broken link (maybe the'll fix it soon).

Today found that the iOS application "Jeep" is free and includes a copy of the Owners Manual, it it isn't loading either.

#sigh

My uConnect 8.4 has a copy of the owner’s manual included in unit. (Not sure about other head units.)

I have a question regarding the right dimmer knob.

It seems like it goes from very dark to kind of medium brightness. Then when you click it to the first top position, it is on full brightness. It seems like there’s a big jump between the two.

Is that normal operation?

Yep, someone posted above. I must have skipped over it on the paper copy.

PDFs on an iPad with a proper Pelican case is so much easier. :)
