I think this may be more an issue with voluntary response bias. I'm not sure that the relatively small subset of people who are on these forums accurately represent production issues in general (though it certainly might). For example, there may be certain options/features that are more popular among us "enthusiasts" than the general Jeep-buying population at large (e.g., 6-speeds and premium soft tops); and those features might be the ones causing delays. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that a press release pertaining to a small number of factory orders would cause FCA to do anything, nor would it make for particularly interesting news...
thanks for the feedback, I do hope you are correct. By the way, I was not thinking evening news...was thinking more like automotive related articles. Would think if you walked into a dealership today to order a 2dr and were told it might be mid June, the customer might want to wait a short time for the 2019's.

I'm afraid of this happening to mine. I worry that, before I arrive, some curious customers will ask if they can try out my 6-speed. Then I'll arrive to find like 20 miles on the odometer and throw a fit. The scenario plays out in my head repeatedly. Along with the one where I throw a fit about nonsense fees. And the one where I throw a fit about them drilling my front license plate bracket in when I asked them not to. And the one where I throw a fit because they tried to trick me into buying a JK. And the one where I throw a fit because some other guy throws a fit and I need to throw a bigger fit than that guy.
I'm so glad you posted this. I ordered in NV where they require a front license plate but live in AZ where we don't. I'll have to email my dealer about this. Now I'm going to be a nervous wreck that they'll drill it anyway!

Front plates are required in California too, but I've always asked the dealer to omit the front plate if it requires any drilling. A couple times, I was asked to sign a small, half-page form releasing them from liability for selling me a vehicle in a non-compliant form. On one car, they drilled the damn holes anyway (and I stupidly signed all papers sight unseen), but THEN removed the bracket and then asked me to sign the liability release. As I'm wont to do, I threw a fit. They threw in all-weather floor and trunk mats to placate me (Land Rover genuine, so not cheap either). I secretly thought I made out okay on that exchange, though I maintained my "I'm still pissed at you" face.

So I just need to post my order date and VON when tracked opens correct?
The volunteers that do the tracking limit the number to keep it manageable. Watch this thread, once they have room they will announce so, and accept a limited number of new orders to monitor. It will fill up fast.

If you're in KZ, does an outgate event from VDC mean the truck left?

If you got your ETA from jeep chat, you should check with your dealer because their estimate is is probably more accurate. Mine moved up a week by checking in with the dealer.

Updated, congrats to @mandown!! :jk::muscle:
Thanks JAY!

Question for the group, is it normal that nothing has been added to the "Orders in D1 Status" tab since 2/24? Jeeps that were in seem to be moving through but nothing new entering the build process? Am I just being paranoid? :rain:

Chat said I’m in D1,
Not list in track D1 list
VON 41179662
The system JLWF Dealer Guy checks does not normally show anyone hitting D1 until the build process begins. Jeep Chat and JLWF are checking two different systems. Same for other tracking sources as well. Their explanation was that they check the factory's system in which case you do not go D1 until the factory has you scheduled. You may be scheduled in Jeep's Corporate system but not at the actual factory.
