I purchased my Jeep from Wendy a Station Chrysler. Very simple process. Obviously we'll have to see how the whole deal pans out but so far so good .

For anyone in the Western Mass area I ordered from Metro Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram, in Chicopee, MA. I ordered a JLU Rubicon. I ordered almost every option and got it for 4.7% below invoice price, without having to finance through them if I chose.

I checked other dealerships and each one that claimed to give me up to 5% below invoice price actually hid an additional average around $1100 in either the MSRP or options. One even tried to double charge me for the delivery charge that Jeep adds. Metro was the only dealer that did not attempt this or have any hidden fees or charges. Some also require you to finance through them and will attempt a higher interest rate on your loan.

My advice is make sure you know the MSRP and invoice price of your base model jeep and every option you want. Also figure out the exact cost that each additional percentage off will come to, do not let them do your math. Also get the expected delivery date because one dealer told me it wont arrive until late May the earliest. Metro Jeep confirmed an average of 6 to 8 weeks for a loaded Rubicon and base level sport models were 4 to 6 weeks. Also know what interest rate you can get with your credit with other banks and credit unions before you sign with a dealer.

The Mass license fees should not be over $135 if transferring plates. Don't pay more than $500 for document fees, unfortunately that's about the average in Mass. Other than sales tax there shouldn't be any other charges.

This dealership is closer to me than Station Jeep by about an hour. Did you get a price from Station Jeep?

I didn’t contact Station Jeep. Furthest east I went was Natick. I’m not sure what model you’re getting but the 4.7% under invoice I got is actually more of a dollar amount off than say 5, 6, or 7% off a base model Sport since it’s cheaper. So you could get more if it’s a cheaper Jeep. Do you know if Station Jeep is offering 5% on any model with any options?

What’s the typical amount of money you give up front? Some are asking for 10% of the final vehicle price in order for them to order. What’s normal/how much should I expect to pay?

Every place I worked with was 500-1000 down. I ended up putting 1000 down with station

All of them I went to only required a $500 non refundable deposit. That’s all I put down. Another asked $500 now and another $2000 once it was confirmed being built.

Metro Jeep didn’t require any deposit if it was a sport or Sahara with less options. But I got the rubicon loaded and they said they’re harder to sell if I backed out.

Ok thanks for the help. I’m wondering if this changes a bit based on 2 door vs 4 door orders? I’m looking for a 2 door rubicon, which if I backed out of may be harder for them to move based on jeeps sales numbers?

Probably would be harder to sell a two door for a dealer, or at least they will most likely say that. Every dealer I went to had maybe one or two 2 doors in a JK. Almost everything was 4 door. Rare seeing a two door Jeep just like a two door pickup now.

You guys should really check out Central in Raynham. I have been dealing with Adam the GM and im telling you he gave me a deal that was way better than 3 other dealers I shopped by $100 a month. Placed my order and didn't want a deposit either. Just FYI he has 19 JL's on the lot last time I checked.

I think that is mostly because they make more money on them .I owned a 4 door Sahara and couldn't get rid of it quickly enough to get a 2 door again. 4 doors just don't look like a "Jeep" to me.
