What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Hi, hopefully it is not too late for the advice. I bought this chinese version on ebay and didn’t work at all. The smart lock system that suposedly memorize you original key didn’t work and once I installed it didn’t open, so I was stuck with the hood locked. I was able to pry a 90 degrees angled bar between the hood and the frame and move the lever and open it. It does not provide any security. I checked the design for JK from Bolt Company and they are different. I will return it for a refund. Don’t waste your time and money. The cost is 200 dlls.

Yikes I’m sorry to hear that man. Did you try contacting the seller? Mine came with generic instructions for the regular keyed model but I tested that my lock worked before assembly. I messaged the seller beforehand confirming fitment and took photos of everything just in case I would need to seek a refund from the seller/platform.

Just noticed you said you bought off eBay. I’ve seen it on Amazon and Ali for around $130. I’d definitely message the seller and complain that they sent you a defective product. Good luck

Have them adjust the tpms limits while they are doing the tire size. We do that for every Jeep we build. They have access to it.

They said they couldn't do that. I didn't ask if it was because they couldn't do it or if for liabilty they shouldn't. If my TAZER doesn't pan out I'll go the dealer route but more firmly. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you! The hinges were already black, and I like the contrast so we just didn’t get them wrapped, hood hinges too. I originally wanted the genders wrapped too, but that wouldn’t work and I actually like it better with the black contrast.

I have the tazer jl mini it works great. You won’t have to deal with dealership anymore. I run 30 psi warmed up so it starts out 27-28 so I set my tpms to 25 and I never hear from it.....

Sorry for the "no pic" post - i hate them myself. This is my last week of summer, so doing a few small mods. Today i did "poly-fill" in the sub and put some spare dynomat around the sub. We have the Premium sound system. I have read posts that it makes a big difference. For the $3 at Wal-Mart and leftover Dynomat i had, i can say that i think i just wasted 1.5hrs on both Jeeps. It might make a SLIGHT difference, MAYBE on long drops, but we'll see. Dunno - maybe my ears are starting to get old
