After reading all the post about problems people are having with their JL, do you regret buying it?
I traded a 16 JK 2 door for a 18 JL 4 door. I like the looks of my new one better, it rides much better and I love the new auto transmission. I don’t like the auto start/stop , that’s really the only thing I don’t like about it. Some of the frame and steering issues people are having is kinda scary..
I had zero issues out of my JK.
What say you !!
2 months and 5000Km my jlu sport s is great rides better than i expected

Yep. I totally regret going into the JL. I had a 2015 JK and loved it. It was flawless! But I wanted some of the creature comforts the JL offered, so I took the plunge. I asked for my 2015 back on day 3 of my ownership experience, after a huge transmission leak that left me stuck waiting for hours for a tow truck, and was told "No Way". I've been struck with this beast ever since. I've had problems galore (mostly electrical), but since they couldn't reproduce them in the shop, I've gotten little relief. Videos are of little use to demonstrate my concerns. I'm told "it's operating as designed." If I were a designer I'd be either ashamed of my substandard efforts or pissed at Chrysler for suggesting that this is how this vehicle is supposed to operate. I understand that there is the occasional lemon, and I would have been fine trying to work a deal to get into another 2018 JL, but Chrysler's refusal to do much of anything (they did replace the infotainment unit because of overheating and malfunctions - new one is not much better) has left me determined to look at other options besides Jeeps as soon as I can afford to get out of this one. She looks pretty in the driveway, but she's not good for much else.
Yikes. Sounds like you really did get a lemon. I hope you can get someone to help you with this.

Picked up Rubicon almost two weeks ago - after five months of waiting. Overall exceeded expectations. Only minor issue is the buffeting/cabin pressure that can irritate the ear drums - have a hard top. I don’t think there is a fix to it and hopefully I get used to it.

Yep, pretty much. Day 34 in the shop and still no parts or fix for multiple issues. It’s six months old with less than 7k miles. Pretty sure I’d have no regrets if the vehicle was in working order. So, I guess I don’t get to complain here so I won’t

34 days in the shop? Can you go the Lemon Law route?

I must admit, I do have buyers remorse. I wish I would have gone with one of my other vehicle choices and just bought an older YJ/TJ, too.
It's those other used 4x4 options that have so far kept me from buying a JLU. I love older 4x4s ... the lower cost and lack of concern if they get damaged or have issues. Like on a trail run when my CJ7 lurched forward and crunched the rear quarter panel of a buddy's Series Land Rover, and we had a laugh about Jeep/LR rivalry. But dropping 50 grand on a vehicle, that tends to turn the amp up to 11 whenever there are issues. Like this evening when my wife backed our recently acquired used van into a brick wall at the post office, lol. Let me tell you, I would not be lol'ing it if that vehicle had instead been a new JLU!

15K on the clock since March and no regrets. My wife, who does not care one bit about cars, drives it all the time and loves it. The kids love it. The neighbor wants one now. No buyers remorse.

I’ve heard you can fix this by putting a foam noodle or two between the rear roll bar cross member and the roof.

I was looking for a thread like this and thank you all for posting :)

I am new here on the forum and gathering information, before i sell my 2017 4Runner TRD Off-road Premium with Icon 3.5" lift, mud-terrains, snorkel, sliders, roof-rack and off-road lights and switch to a Yellow 2019 Rubicon Unlimited stick-shift with every possible option to get...

Basically i thought i would do more over-landing than rock-crawling, but here in Arizona... rock-crawling is mostly what we do lol and i don't see the Rubicon to be bad with over-landing either... I will make the switch

No ragrets. I love it. My only complaint is the stereo cuts out every few seconds, happens about once a week for the past 6 weeks. Hopefully an over air update will be coming soon. But overall I’ve taken it off road a little and was great. Also awesome as a daily driver.

no regrets, and no problems here.

about 12k highway and offway miles; it's fun to have a vehicle you can do stuff to (changed the bumpers myself, etc etc). I've done a few upgrade-mods, but they feel more like personality mods than actual improvements to the vehicle.

auto stop/start is annoying, but it's not like Jeep is the only vehicle with it in it; give it a couple years and it will be in a larger number of vehicles.

and ya I agree - the forums is where people come to complain more often than not. read around long enough here and you'll see complaints about everything from "4 door inferior not-jeep jeeps", to automatic transmissions shouldn't be in a jeep, to power windows.

have there been issues? sure. even if my Jeep had been hit with them, I trust my dealer would take care of it. and I'd wind up in another Jeep (this was my first one)

the only thing I'd do different would be to get a Mojito color instead of the blue. other than that, this tonka toy has been a blast to drive.
Regrets on the Ocean Blue color?

i have had mine since just before memorial day weekend last year, so coming up on a year. its my first wrangler and i love it. My wife and i have plenty of space, seats are relatively comfortable, and overall i think its a great vehicle. I just wish it did not have ESS and i like the idea of turning a key and not paying a 140 dollar fee for a new fob.

After stumbling upon this forum a couple weeks ago, I've having serious 2nd thoughts about ordering a Wrangler. I really want one but at the same time I'm afraid to pull the trigger after reading may posts on here. I know internet forums always get more complaints that praise, but a lot of the problems people are having seem like serious safety issues.
