After stumbling upon this forum a couple weeks ago, I've having serious 2nd thoughts about ordering a Wrangler. I really want one but at the same time I'm afraid to pull the trigger after reading may posts on here. I know internet forums always get more complaints that praise, but a lot of the problems people are having seem like serious safety issues.
If it makes you feel any better, go look at any other specific enthusiast’s car forum. People are much more likely to complain than they are to say “everything is fine”.

Everything is fine with mine now...after I seated all the fuses. No regrets!

As a business owner one thing I can assure you is people are quick to complain and slow if ever to compliment. I love my JL!

I love my Rubicon JL
So if your looking into buying one please don't read into the SERIAL COMPLAINERS. Some people want a perfect vehicle they dont exists sorry.

Mine has been perfect, with the one exception of the blue staining on my tan leather seats. I really should have bought lighter jeans.

EDIT - ... aaaaand my Jeep wont start. 2700Km on the clock and ESS/battery errors. I will remove this and take my words back when the dealer hands it back to me in working condition and it works for 1 month without issues! Im not giving up on my beloved Jeep, so ill still say no remorse for now! Lol
======================================

My JL is my 2nd favourite vehicle i've ever owned, next to my 5.0 Mustang.

When the 5.0 came out in 2011, people were screaming the end of the world was nigh with the MT-82 transmission. There was tons of talk about "gear lockouts" and transmissions grenading on people. This has proven over time to be a very tiny percentage of actual issues... there was even an investigation caused by the vocal complainers by the NHTSA into the issues which was subsequently dropped. Ford is still using the transmission today.
... and here i am in 2018 with a 2011 GT that has had zero issues, transmission or otherwise... and ive tracked the thing and not been gentle.

So when i heard about the Jeep issues i kept all of that in mind, and pulled the trigger anyway. Im only 1100 km in, but i feel that this is a very well built, solid vehicle... and i have no idea what anyone is talking about. Time will tell, but im not concerned whatsoever.

Oh and screw the people who are anti-4 door or anti auto trans... can i just get what I want please? This isnt a sportscar, 4 doors and auto is just fine and pretty much superior in *most* ways.
I'm anti-four door...and I bought a four door :(

I've had minefor several months now and I totally love it. I've not had any issues at all. Fun to drive, nice to be able to get out to where ever. Looks awesome too. Very nice to be able to remove the doors, the back quarter windows and use the sky one touch.

Absolutely love mine 13 months later. I wouldn't say a regret but I do get a little envious every time I see an Ocean Blue at the dealer or drive by.

Would you trade a 2017 Mustang 5.0 for a 2020 Wrangler Rubicon?

That’s a tough call, but having owned both, I’d say yes and take the Jeep. I was too paranoid about my Stang to really enjoy it. With my Jeep I can be much more relaxed about throwing stuff in the back (work equipment, my dog, etc) and not be paranoid about the seats getting messed up or whatever.

And I love Mustangs, don’t get me wrong... see my thread on how they’re the most similar car to Jeeps in the American market today:

I love my mustang, but I can’t afford to have both. A choice needs to be made soon. Thanks for showing me your thread, it was a fun read
