I've been dealing with the only local dealer that has a JL Rubicon in stock. MSRP with all options is $53k. Dealer is only coming down to $51,000. I am getting a JL soon, but I'm wondering if this is a typical price one would expect?

No dealer incentives like oil changes for life, etc.

Options: Cold weather group, HD electrical group, LED, leather, 8.4 Uconnect w/ Alpine, Steel bumpers, remote proximity, 3 piece hardtop.

Invoice on this Jeep if its exactly as you desribed is $50,876 which includes all the options at invoice prices and the $1195 destination fee.

If he is willing to go $51,000 thats only $124 over invoice pricing, so for a walk up deal thats not exactly terrible.
If that dealer accepted treadlightly (the -1% below invoice deal) that would put it at $50,367.24, so IMO $51k for a walk up deal isnt bad if their dealer fees arent horrible.

I appreciate the responses. I do not have a Treadlightly membership unfortunately. There is a dealership in Houston I saw which does $1000 over invoice so right now, this is seeming like a decent deal. Thanks again.

Maybe I did something wrong, but this is what I get - only $52k. Can you post the window sticker?

The FFP price is what you get if you pay $100 and join Tread Lightly. But you have to wait 30 days. if it were me, i would join now, wait 30 days, and try again. Or factory order now and by the time your Jeep gets here you will be able to use it. That would save you $2250. if you decide to factory order you need to get it in writing at the time you place the order that they will do the Tread Lightly price if you have a valid certificate number.

If you are more of a "want it now" guy and you are buying in LA then don't worry about it and enjoy your Jeep.

At $51,000 your dealer is making over $3,500 off of you with the holdback so he should deal but in LA he probably doesn't have to.

If you can walk up and purchase a new JL on the lot at invoice right now, then that's probably not too bad of a deal in my opinion.

Sure you can do better by ordering from one of the discount dealers but you'll have to wait and pay for transportation if it's not local.

At this time the best deals are going to be orders to get a good deal you will have to wait until dealers start getting inventory on their lots. Right now it is a sellers market for on lot vehicles.

Everyone should get exactly the Jeep they want but I got to ask - Cold Weather Group in LA? For why?
