Am liking my decision to do the LED option. Had LED's on our JK, TL's to be exact. The one's on the JL, IMO are superior to those in coverage and light quality. For those considering this, you are not just getting LED headlights but LED's throughout your Jeep.

+1 for loving my LEDs. I don't give a crap how much profit MOPAR makes on them. They're in the business to make a profit, after all. Aftermarket LEDs look aftermarket. Not saying they aren't nice, but I prefer the factory look.

No regrets.

1000000000000% WORTH IT. Don't be the guy with buyers remorse. You will have guys say go after market no matter what you will not get the same effect. 900 may seem stiff but will make you smile.

Hi Everyone, long time reader first time poster. I’m in the process of ordering my 2019 Rubi (through Craig at Koons) and I’m wanted to get the collective opinion of the forum on two options. wondering if the LED headlights are really worth the extra $900. Won’t some kind of LED aftermarket lights be available forb1/5th the cost?

Also is the hardtop headliner worth it? I had a 97 Sahara back in the day and it didn’t seem that noisy with the hardtop.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-mike

The LEDs are very very good, I wouldn't spec a new JLU without it. They truly light up the road as was referenced earlier in this thread

No you don't have to get them. There is options, I changed all my bulbs to led. Someone is going to say I'm blinding other drivers, that's bullshit. I drive over 25 miles on 2 lane roads a day. Never have been flashed, I am lifted 2.5 and set the lights lower like they were before the lift. I've had a JL coming at me with the factory led and it was more blinding. Here is the link if anybody that didnt get factory is interested.BEAMTECH H13 LED Headlight Bulb, 50W 6500K 8000Lumens Extremely Brigh (9008 Hi/Lo) CSP Chips Conversion Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHCQ8KY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vUi3BbW9FNC2K

The LED's are a must have in my opinion. If you don't get them there is a good chance you will regret it.

They are blindingly bright for anyone that is subject to looking directly into them. Bright enough that I might just put some tinted or smoked lamin-x type protective film over them. Not only for the looks and to protect them but since my Jeep is lifted, I light up the inside of some small vehicles in front of me at lights etc. I kind of feel bad so that might help. They are no joke like on some previous Jeeps, that is for sure.

Why don't you lower them instead of blinding people.

Maybe a question for someone connected directly with Jeep. Why is the LED option not available on the Sport S? I have no need to spend the extra money for the Rubicon. I do intend to install a 2.5" lift, 35" tires, change out both bumpers and install some lights. But, why... why... why is the LED package not an option on the Sport S?

What makes you automatically assume that i have not lowered them? They are lowered past the standard 3'/25' rule atm but the Jeep sits up in the air a bit so keep that in mind.

Maybe by the way you said you're lifted and blinding them, AND NOT SAYING I ALREADY LOWERED THEM..

Have you ever pulled into someplace when someone was taking a left and had your light shine in their face? Have you even been in a parking lot where someone in a much smaller vehicle was parked directly in front of you and when your lights turned on it was in their face? Have you even considered that I most likely don't care about your opinion and attempting to start shit is just going to force me to tell you how much more I don't care?
