Don't know how, or what, or who, just noticed this while driving to work lol.

Does anyone know if these vents can be purchased?

The vents are slightly functional. I’d probably just tell dealer it blew off and you couldn’t find it. Must not have been seated correctly and should be under warranty for that.
^^This! This would def be covered under warranty. Do not spend your money. Let the dealer cut that check brother!

Looking at the photos, those vents are not even the slightest bit functional in terms of heat reduction in the engine compartment.

It's actually disappointing to see this as I thought they were...

I will say that the side vents ARE functional though, so, good news there!!

LOL well, I suppose you could store certain items there for sure if you know what I mean hahaha
Yeah, but not if the lid keeps flying off randomly!!

I agree about non-functional. The only hole there is surely just a drain hole for what leaks in around the edges. I have been envious of these hoods (having just a lowly Sport), but now I realize I should just focus on an aftermarket hood/vent setup instead..

I do have an appointment this upcoming Tuesday so I'll mention it to them before I seek out purchasing a replacement. Thanks for the heads up guys!

I watched a YouTube video awhile back where a Jeep engineer said the hood vents are cosmetic only and the fender vents are functional.

I'm good with the cosmetic I think they look bad ass compared to the standard hoods.

I like on the Jeep video the Wrangler Rep stated about the side vents "we wouldn't put fake vents on a Jeep";)

I believe the hole is for draining water.
