- 2024 Rubi X
My wife had a brand new 2020 Sahara Altitude that wandered horribly. It had an aluminum box, but we only had it a couple months. I agree that caster is the biggest problem now. I did the Mopar lift arms on my 2024 Willys, but have not on my Rubi X, because it drives fine. I will eventually do something to increase caster, upgrade steering components and probably an Apex booster, ram and cooler. It can be, but I think the biggest factor is the caster. Jeep uses the same control arms for every model and the ride heights vary by quite a lot. That means so does the caster. Jeep might say 4⁰of caster is within spec... because they don't want to use different arms on different models. The 2024 4xe sahara rental we had in Hawaii didn't wander in the slightest but it also sat pretty low and rolled on basically car tires. It cornered really well too. Can the stock steering be improved? Absolutely. So can the stock suspension, tires, powertrain, etc.
