That obstacle is scary, id rather take the drop, and the only reason i didn't last year was because i’ve seen people hit their spares on the way down and wreck their tailgates.
A great reason to leave your spare nearly empty. That won't make it be a non-issue, but should limit how much damage occurs if the spare makes contact.

I never even thought about that before, that's pretty smart! Mine is always kept at street pressure and, now that I think about it, there's no reason I need to keep it that way since I have air.

since my odds of getting a flat somewhere are considerably higher than those of tapping the spare 99% of the time, i'd rather keep air in the spare.
if/when i were to need the spare, i typically don't want to spend a single extra minute on the side of the road changing it out.

@R4NS0M
glad to see you're having fun, especially since there's no "whoopsie"! 😄

Ya’ll…look at this freaking tire… I can’t believe I didn’t die. All the feels. This was my first EJS and one of my first few runs. I cannot express how terrified I was.

ETA: the site wasn’t wanting my video to upload, so I had to post the link instead. Sorry!

I had the same reaction as you quietly said "Uh.." when the Jeep got into that crazy angle wheel up! 😱

I assume after that moment no need to find a spot for the bathroom anymore? 😂

Look like it's time for a roll cage.

I’ve steadfastly avoided that thing at jeep events b/c I don’t want to spend more $$ 🤣🤣🤣. It seems to lead to that haha
They showed me where my rear differential skid was hitting other armor when flexing, a quick grind will give me more flex for free. Also my front sway bar end links are too short.. a cheap change to avoid potentially having them flip backwards or worse when fully flexed. I highly recommend it.

slip your tranny into neutral so your brakes are not fighting both gravity and the engine.
I wouldn’t. You better be prepared to put it in drive quick if you need to throttle out.. much more likely if there is risk of rolling over forward. I’m usually in 4low manual gear 1 or 2 using minimal brakes, hoping to go slow enough I don’t drop hard off ledges but try to not lock up the front and cause forward body roll.

That’s a good catch! Yeah it definitely can help identify little things for sure! I know me and next thing I know I’ll be looking at a long arm kit with coilovers 🤣.

I just want ya’ll to know it was @Rotsam who told me to use the word ‘whoopsie’ in the title, and I have never regretted a word choice more. It never occurred to me that ‘whoopsie’ would imply ‘flat tire’ or ‘catastrophic accident’, lol. You guys are mean, lol

When talking about vehicles, a whoopsie usually implies some sort of accident / collision.

At least you didn't try to blame someone else for you using a wrong word in the title. Oh wait, never mind.

Note that I'm not sure anyone has been overly mean about your choice of title.

Whoopsie implies some sort of accident or indecent, I don't think anyone who's ever wheeled would call lifting a tire an accident? Scraping a fender on a rock, breaking a mirror off, etc would be a whoopsie to me, almost scraping? Not exactly a whoopsie. Near whoopsie maybe?
