I mean— the real truth is we went to Moab one time and I had to ride passenger princess and I decided that sucked and basically whined about it until my hubs, the amazing @Rotsam, got me my own—with matching upgrades. The fact I was able to find a Tuscadero with a SOT was clutch (literally had to drive to another state to find one)

A build we loved enough to do twice. The only material difference, other than the beadlocks, which just haven’t arrived yet, is the tire width. I can’t wait to see if there’s a noticeable difference on the trails.

Three times. A build you loved enough to do *three* times. LOL!

Are both Jeeps on factory steering components? How's that handle and hold up to wheeling?

It’s not the worst, but I’ve never tried one with a steering boost, so I might just not know what I’m missing. It’s a bitch to turn in 4L and even worse if I have the front axels locked — it frees up with a little forward motion, but at a standstill it’s pretty uncooperative.

I think we’ll learn a lot more when we’re in Moab next week - we’ve got I think 6 BoH trails on the agenda. Probably the next upgrade — Apex / PSC seems to be the best reviewed.

Nice builds R4NSOM & Rotsam!

What trails are you doing in Moab. We'll be there with our 392 and will be running Rose Garder Hill on Monday; Metal Masher on Tuesday; Poison Spider on Wednesday; Flat Iron Mesa on Thursday; and Cliffhanger on Friday. Hope to see you on the trails, or around town. We'll be looking for those Bikini and Pink 392s. My wife and I will be in this ...

Now that's what I call 2 people working together. Kudos to you both for doing so. (Dont ever change a good thing) Enjoy your jeeps you two. 🙏

I noticed your shock boot has slipped off. Put a ziptie around it, should prevent it from coming off again.

Congrats! That is so cool that you two have custom twins! Quick question, what advantage is there to having the fob here? Seems like it would be flopping all over the place (especially when off-roading).

I like it because I don’t have to worry about three-honking with the doors off, and we tend to swap drivers and Jeeps quite a bit, so just a convenience. It does flop around, but I’ve never been bothered by it.

With the doors off it would be my luck that it would break off and get run over on the trail or rattle around to the point where it didn't work anymore leaving me stranded on a trail because the Jeep couldn't recognize the fob. Or I would forget about it hanging there while parked at a gas station and come out of the restroom with my 392 on it's way to Mexico. That said, I suppose with both of you running it that way, you will have two witnesses that it works ok to do it like that without issues.

I wear leggings most of the time and there’s no pocket. I absolutely detest the key taking up space in my cup holder, and I will 100% forget it if I put it in the center console.
