I have a 22 Rubicon 392. 34000 miles.
Today I added a kill switch to the ignition Start Stop button. I purchased a t-harness for the ignition Stop/Start switch. Unplug the factory harness from the back of the start stop. Plug in the new harness. Wire kill switch to the harness.
The switch worked as it was intended as I was checking to see if it was going to work. Holding all the wires together. I got lazy and did not disconnect the battery. Then I ran the wires to where I wanted it, crimped connectors and used a heat gun on shrink wrap. Went to test it and the Jeep won't start.
THEN I COMPLETELY REMOVED THE HARNESS AND SWITCH. I put everything back to factory.
Dash comes on. Dash warning says remote start could not be completed. I wasn't trying to remote start it.
Key fob will not lock or unlock jeep. I tried both remotes.
I checked all the fuses. Swapped some of the relays I thought it could be. No change.
The start stop button does not light up, or go to accessories, or run.
No error codes on display. I checked to see if I accidently disconnected any other wires while under dash.
What do you think? Thanks
