All for items you can MOPAR add to the Sport?
Seems like an odd split.

I’d take a base Sport (like I already have) over a fully-appointed Tacoma every time.

What package would the 8.4in Uconnect be if the only package list the 7in Uconnect then? Infotainment isn't a package for the Sport so it would have to be the Technology package.

If the MSRP has increased $2,000 for a Sport, doesn't seem like we're getting much for that $2,000.
-new transmission both manual and auto
-updated soft top
-back up camera
-17" steel wheels instead of 16"
-anything else major I'm missing?

New Engines.
New Axles.
New Brakes.
Mo’ Alumumumniuminuminum.

Lesser, but still worthwhile, new ease of use updates, Windshield, Door stops, Rear Vents, Improved Seats, Updated interior etc if you care.

Just noticed the EVIC because I got that and paid for it, on my previous basic Sports.

I've never order a Wrangler prior to ordering my JLU Sport and when I sat down with the dealer, I wasn't able to order a 8.4in Uconnect separately. It wasn't a option. All that was available was packages but hey, maybe they will let you later but I know as of now, I was only able to order packages with the Technology group being one of them that I ordered.

This can't be right. A lot of the 'options' should be standard on the Sahara, otherwise the Sahara might as well be a Sport that has the OPTION to purchase luxury options.

Here are the available features for Sport, Sahara and Rubicon.

Problems:
1. Sahara cannot have clear untainted glass as option. Fail.
The fact i can't get untinted glass with power locks on any model is RIDICULOUS.

2. Sport or sport S can't have body color fenders is equally stupid

3. Only model with untinted glass is Sport.
Sport can't get power lock unless upgrade to sport S, which omits clear untainted glass option.

4. No corona rings on Sport models ...

5. 8.4" Connect not available on sport

If I can't get a bright white sahara with heated camel leather seats, no carpet, premium sound WITHOUT window tint .......

I've never order a Wrangler prior to ordering my JLU Sport and when I sat down with the dealer, I wasn't able to order a 8.4in Uconnect separately. It wasn't a option. All that was available was packages but hey, maybe they will let you later but I know as of now, I was only able to order packages with the Technology group being one of them that I ordered.

Unfortunately that’s part of ordering early before the dealer can navigate the the system and configure it as possible. Now that both you and they would know it is in fact an available option, then they could’ve gotten assistance in configuring it.

No u-Connect for Sport S? Even bargain basement Hyundais have Bluetooth hands free available.

I need to correct myself. No U-Connect connectivity group. The option that has Bluetooth and voice operation of features. However, the 7” radio system has Apple CarPlay (and that robot one, too ) which relies on voice commands soooo.... Color me confused.

Uhh no it’s listed as the 7 inch Uconnect in the packages. And I don’t want to assemble the Jeep’s options myself, and they’d likely cost less in the form of packages like the Rubicon has. I don’t see why simplicity has to be taken away with the new model.

You have highlighted something that is contradicted in the packages descriptions. The infotainment package that includes the 8.4 radio is NOT available in Sport or Sport S. The only radio upgrade is (supposedly) the 7” included in the technology group.

I’m a first time factory order person, but the JL will be my 3rd Wrangler Sport S.

Sport & Sport S never had body colored fenders. Only the special edition models based on the Sport has them. But then again, for a few brief moments every Wrangler produced starts as a Sport. (Because Sport is the base, entry model. Sahara and Rubi add things to the Sport to become their respective models.)

So for that.. get a JK that has none of the features you’re stuck on, or a Tacoma that is nothing like a Wrangler?
