It’s pretty easy, just go to miscellaneous settings>HVAC>dual zone ATC and hit go. When you get the successful message select restart all ECU’s and then do a few sleep cycles and that should do it.

Sorry a couple more questions.
Where do I plug in the bypass cable on a 2018 JLU, way up under the steering column right? Is there a trick to unplugging them? It sounds like it can be very difficult. Do you think it makes sense to get the Z automotive SGW extension cable so I don't have to mess with it again once I disconnect it. Once the wires are disconnected they can stay that way without any issues?
What are "sleep cycles"
TY!

The SGW module is mounted to the back of the left knee speaker pod, yes it is a pain in the a** to unplug. Idk if the extension cable is needed or not. Once you figure out how to unplug them it is a little easier. I find it easier to use a finger on one hand to press the release tab and the other to GENTLY pull on the wires. This may not work if you have big hands.

Yes you can leave them unplugged, however the dealer scan tool will not work with it unplugged, this may or may not be an issue for you.

Gotcha. Thanks for the quick reply. One post recommended a small 90 degree pick tool. not sure if that makes sense.
Also what are "sleep cycles"? TY!

Sorry, turn the ignition on and let it all boot up, then off and open and close the door, wait for the dash to turn off. That’s one sleep cycle.

I did it!!! So pumped. Thank you for all of your help!
I bought the JSCAN just for this but now that I see all of these other features I can’t wait to see what I can modify…

So today at work I was bored and ripped into the cowl and added the new antenna , after testing of course

it works , it was the ^@&$@#*} antenna
Why would it matter I don’t know
Thanks to all for the help and the genius @twa8000 !!
if u have my issue—- yep antenna

still boggles my mind I have an antenna but not the one I need lol
Hey. I just read a bunch of your posts and replies bc I just upgraded from the 5" to the 7" radio and new Center Stack controls. Like you, everything works great but the compass. I am not sure if it matters but my vehicle never had satellite. It is not a huge deal to me but I would like the compass to work as long as it is not expensive and a big project. What is the minimum I need to get just my compass to work (I have no need for satellite radio) , the cable and antenna? Where will I have to place whatever I buy for it to pick up a directional signal? Thank you.

you will need the antenna
you can purchase the mopar one but there is no long cable with it - you would have to purchase the extension then put it where you want it - the cowl is a great location

the one i purchased from nismopar came with the cable , its a bit more but works great !!
you can then run the cable to the original location if you want to remove alot of covers , or you can do like i did and slap it in the cowl cover ! fast easy and no worries

i did not want to go through the hassle of removing all the trim panels and stock sat antenna just to place the new sat antenna there , i chose to place it in a easier/ faster installation location so i could have it work an look good

so what i did was remove the radio and unplugged the stock sat antenna.
plugged the extension for the new sat antenna in and ran the cable out to the cowl .
i removed the cowl popped a little whole in it so i could mount the new sat antenna ontop of the cowl. plugged the other end in and it worked flawless .

what had me all crazy was that the stock radio had sat radio . this is why i didnt think i needed a new antenna .

Thank you. U don’t think just the antenna up under the dash would be enough to get the compass signal?..
