I wonder when the Hurricane 6 will be available in a Wrangler?

You can not beat the sound of a 392 and I can`t wait to here the Hurricane with the twin turbos

Having a Raptor with a twin turbo V6 does not come close to a V8 , a lot of owners put their stock system back on because it sounds better than a angry bee.

I am facing the same decision. I have 400 miles on my 2 door Rubicon, great jeep! And I also have a 392 in Reign that has a confirmed order, and VIN. Fiscally, it would not be wise to have both Jeeps in the garage, possible, but not wise. I had a 22 392 which I traded on a TRX. Huge frikken truck that was just plain a pain in the ass to live with, so that got traded on my pending C8 ZO6...as I am #1 on the list for that toy. So you OP are not the only one facing decisions. That said, if you can buy the 392 and still feed the dog, go for it! YOLO! My biggest issue being a real jeep has 2 doors and I really do like my little Rubicon...but know I will be kicking my ass if I don't take delivery of the 392 and they are discontinued. Adulting is hard.
Lol…yea u got too much going on!!! I woulda kept the TRX…the rubicon and the 392 and just had the entire MOPAR setup.

You went astray when you traded the TRX for that C8. ? ?

I was pretty set on buying a Sahara High Altitude with a diesel. But watching a lot of reviews on YouTube (with no inventory these days that has been my go-to for information) I found that regarding the 392:

Every reviewer at some point, was laughing and talking about how much fun it was to drive.

Nearly every reviewer claimed it was the best Wrangler ever.

seeing these same sentiments over and over changed my mind. Might as well kick in another $16k over my previous order and get the best.

Looks like the AYES are winning so I'll be the angel on your other shoulder since that side hasn't been represented much.

Since it's too cumbersome to ask you questions, wait for answers, then ask more questions I'll just talk about things I've learned about myself over the years.

The older I get, the more I'm learning that these "must haves" and "life's dream" acquisitions don't bring the lasting enjoyment I thought they would. Most of the things I managed to get soon became "been there, done that, what's next" items which were then sold (at a loss, of course) and never missed. I especially have this issue with cars but I found that while I enjoy the hunt and the kill ... the field dressing, butchering and even eating it ends up being underwhelming for me.

So ask yourself if you are getting sucked in by the hype and spending too much time on this forum and youtube, or will you really, truly appreciate it for the long haul?

Maybe instead of putting all of your focus on the coolness of it (the sound, the power, the rumble, the status, the pride of ownership, the much slower wave that will also come with a dropped jaw), focus on the negatives too. A few were pointed out already but I'll say some that would gnaw at me after a while: all of that GAS ... and why does it have to be premium? A giant, 8 cylinder naturally aspirated engine should run on BEER if need be, why oh why does insult need to be added to injury in perpetuity? So you will get 10 to 12 miles a gallon with a bonus that each gallon will cost yet another 60 cents. Justify that all you want, if you were shedding money like that insurance commerical guy on the motorcycle, you'd already have one and not be asking strangers! How long are you going to keep it? That engine is stuffed in that tiny compartment so tightly, a gallon of water poured over the top would take an hour for the first drop to drip out of the bottom and a week for the last. Changing a $50 part will cost thousands because they will have to R&R the engine every time. There are other things too, my point is to pay as much attention to the negatives as you are the positives. In fact, I give negatives more weight lately since only the brave dare speak out on the internet against anything these days.

Hope that helped. Of course it's up to you but I'll ask this: have you ever acquired something at this level that you wanted this badly before? Assuming yes, do you still have it and appreciate it with zero regrets? If that is how you're wired, then maybe you should do it while you still can. Otherwise, I'd say don't do it.
You're killing the buzz. You just got de-listed from my New Years party

Life is too short not to drink Good Coffee, good Bourbon, eat a good steak and a good woman.

Some years ago I was CEO of a company and thought I needed to live up to some expectations of what the CEO would drive, so I bought me a Mar-Say-Dees Beenz.

I am at happy hour with a buddy and he is asking about my job and we get to talking and I told him about my car and then casually said: Truth, I don't like that damn thing, its just not me, I just an ole Cowboy, off a horse ranch and could not make a living on the rodeo circuit, so went to college, got a bunch of degrees and now I am a CEO BFD far as I am concerned. My buddy asks, then get the car you want and to hell with all the suits on Executive row, you need to cater to them. By the way, what would be your pick of a car that suits YOU, not them? JEEP!!! Then GO BUY ONE!

I looked at him and at my watch, it was about 6:15 and I would pass by a Jeep dealer on the way home. I said I am going to go do it. Slid off the bar stool and bought a Jeep that night and the rest is history...

TRX about $90k truck, 1500 series, tow rating 8100 lbs, what the hell you smoking???

I didn't spend $90k on my truck and its a F 450, tow, 42,000 lbs, ohhh I know you got 750 Hp or something like that. Let's do heads-up racing. We both tow 8100 lbs and see who to the top of the hill first. Hp doesn't come close to my 1050 lbs of OEM Torque, 4:88 gears, 10 sp trans. My truck weigh more than your tow capacity, I am about 97XX lbs on the CAT scale. My trim package is nicer than that TRIX, King Ranch. I got massaging seats, my wife loves'um...

Just kidding on ya, get another Jeep or a C8 if want some GO, If YOU REALLY want GO, get the Z06. A full garage is a happy garage!

I think you'd be surprised by that towing drag race. Torque is a measurement of force, horsepower is a measurement of work. The towing drag race is a perfect example of "work". The TRX 750hp will leave the F450's 475hp in the dust even with the 8100lb trailer.

That's a funny post, and I know you're just joking around. I've got a Ram 3500, I know what the torque will do. But I've got another idea you might consider ... Take that F450 out in the desert with me and my TRX. When we hit that cattle guard at 90+ mph, and the TRX sticks the landing like an Olympic gymnast, perfect, you might realize they are built for different purposes. Then you try it in your F450 at the same speed.

Have a good one.
