My JLU has also been great, and it hasn't required any parts repair or replacement.

One of us is using that word incorrectly. ;)
Well, even if you're spelling incorrect correctly, it's still incorrect.

I plan to keep it forever as of right now. Do you by chance know if the extended warranty is priced better at any particular place?
There are guys who sell the Mopar Extended Warranties for a good discount. Tom Winkels is exceptional. Great prices and great service. He can sell warranties in most States. I think FL is excluded. FL has a law that prevents discounting insurance.

Apply for a FCA credit card if you do not have one. They offer a $100 credit for your first Mopar purchase over $500. The Mopar Extended Warranty is a Mopar product that qualifies. So a free $100 off. Tom handled the CC application when I bought the last warranty. Only took a few minutes.

Ziegler was the cheapest so far. I had my dealer match theirs. I guess it is $100 + cost.
https://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/default.aspx

They quoted $1850 for 7yr/125k/$200 deductible for Max Care.

The steering is fine, the windshield hasn't cracked, the infotainment works, the locker sensors work and there's no death wobble. What am I doing wrong?

All kidding aside, did you guys have any of these issues right away? Or did it take some time? Jeep is new to me, so I suppose the original owner could have had issues and had them fixed, but @ 33,000 miles, I've been pretty lucky. Other than having to replace the radiator within a month of owning it, and preemptively replacing the batteries, it's been great.
The Uconnect is a mess with my Pixel 3. Constantly forgets contact favorites, frequently complains about unsupported device and often you have to replug it a bunch of times. On occasion the audio also completely mutes, making navigation a little more rigorous as if you were off roading. I know people like the Uconnect but I am not impressed.

Other than that and the absurdly finicky manual, no complaints. Steering is straight like a scared hetero in west Hollywood. Ride is quieter than a lot of cars. And I'd go on about the looks but we all know that our Wranglers are basically the porn stars of automobiles

if you scratch on the site, there was a discussion on 1 particular dealer who was giving very competitive mopar warranties especially < 12K miles years out

Good to hear Ziegler is more competitive now. They were not before when I shopped Mopar warranties. The best prices were from Tom Winkels and Clay Robbins when I shopped back in 2019. BOTH had the best prices and exceptional service.

My UConnect 4 and head unit were total nightmares. All 3 head units and updates. FCA knows they have issues. They blame UConnect and it's hardware-software. It pains me knowing I will get Uconnect 4 again with my 2022 JLR. Fingers crossed I will have better luck with the 2022.

I had a 2018 JLUR for over 3 years and 44k miles with virtually no issues at all. I have a 2021 JLUR since July that has been flawless to date as well. I am only at 4k miles though. I agree that most Jeeps are of sound build and quality. It is the Jeep's with issues that get all the discussion on here and that makes it seem far worse than it is.

I am in no way discounting the misery many have experienced with real issues. I know there are owners with horrible problems. I get it.

Was the radiator damaged by a stone or other debris? A leaking radiator so early is kind of rare. Was your radiator covered under the warranty?

VERY good idea to replace BOTH batteries. I would replace both batteries every 3-4 years as preventive maintenance if I had ESS with the Aux 12V battery.

Chevy bought my truck back after 4 attempts to fix a leaking rear axle. Basically over a $200 axle that was machined rough. These buyback programs are not great for either party, but they make peace. It really is about getting what you paid for and having the use of it.

I think your experience is probably the norm, most have fewer QC issues. Saying that, people should know what to possibly expect. EVERY FCA product is still at the very bottom of every QC survey. Chrysler products have been at the bottom for years. I have owned quite a few brands. My personal experience confirms Chrysler's lower than average QC ratings compared to other vehicles I have owned. My TJ and KJ were easily the most problematic vehicles I have ever owned. They had worse QC than my Mini Coopers. I am NOT a hater. I have owned many FCA-Chrysler prducts. Owned a TJ, XJ, KJ, JK, '19 JLR and about to own another 2022 JLR soon. My very early TJ had the worse QC out of any vehicle I have ever owned but it was also one of my favorite. I loved my '19 JLR. I think the JL series is the best Wrangler so far. It is easily one of my all tme favorite vehicles. I can't wait to get my 2022 JLR!

Although my JLUR is my only Chrysler vehicle, I've always had the same impression about their quality, going back to the 70s. My brother-in-law's father-in-law worked as an engineer for Chrysler, so they bought a few Chrysler cars over the years, I guess to show solidarity or some other fool thing. They hated the cars. Jeep Wranglers get a bunch of slack because it's a uniquely capable vehicle. But there's no way I'd buy any other model in the Jeep line or other FCA line.

We had more issues with a Honda and BMW than with Durango or Grand Cherokee.
