Any new 2022 Rubicon unlimited owners experiencing issues with overheating warning, temp guage rising to red?

Mine is a 2.0Lautomatic and has 1500 miles and the fan started running and high temperature warning illuminated twice the past few days. It quickly returns to normal temperature after a few minutes.

The check engine light also came on several times last week but this has not came on lately. I've been making sure to screw the gas cap on after filling so I hope this was the issue on that.

Took Jeep to dealer this morning to see whats going on with the overheat light...service advisor said it sound like the thermostat but we'll see!

He said he is unaware of any electrical malfunctions or problems with this. I called Jeep customer service and was told they have no complaints with this problem from new models.

It’s way faster to pop the hood than it is to post about it on here. Water pump bolts are probably loose.

Yes! Happened to me today! 2022 with same engine. It only takes 3 miles to go from cold to overheating. Calling the dealership first thing in the morning Would love to know what this issue with yours ended up being.

I have a 2021 Sahara (6 months old and 7000 miles) - I was driving to the airport when the fan started running hard and temperature gauge went thru the roof. Was flatbedded back to the dealer. Was informed there are defective bolts that loosen over time allowing antifreeze and water to leak (never had leaks in driveway). Need to replace bolts with new bolts that lock in place as well as change water pump and gaskets. Was told many vehicles are coming in with the same issue and will be a recall. I still to see a recall posted.

If you go over on the 2.0T thread, you'll see what it is. I had the same thing happen. What the common problem is, there is a flange between the lower radiator hose and water pump. Two bolts hold it on. They were not properly tightened at the factory. They come loose and it pukes the coolant out. I just tightened mine back up and so far, they are still tight. It's a QC issue at the Jeep plant.

Dealership first said coolant reservoir was low, topped off and I drove for 3 weeks without showing overheating. Started showing alert for overheating again...dealer bled coolant lines & replaced coolant. Said lines had air in them.

Engine alert light came on two days later but did not show overheating and now said may have to replace engine...coolant shows in engine oil.

Dealership is awaiting word from Chrysler on how to proceed.

My engine took over a month to arrive after the dealership ordered it. These days it's considered "lucky". Then another week to install it. Now that I got it back I have a very rough idle and exhaust smell in the cabin. Have to bring it for a technician to check again and see what was messed up with the install.

Looks like this is quickly becoming a big issue with the 2.0t. That's what I have on order. Starting to get nervous. I guess you need to make daily coolant checks going forward.

I would think since it’s a known issue, that they have corrected it at the factory. ??
