a while back I posted a link about my 2022 JLU Rubicon that I ordered late 2021. The jeep had 14k miles on it and the bottom end was gone. Here is the link for those that are interested.

I took the jeep back a little over a weeks ago for yet another odd noise coming from underneath. The dealer put it on the lift and said it sounded like the flex plate and would order another one and get it replaced. So today I received a call from the service department stating that they had dropped the transmission and the flex plate ended up not being the issue. Again, they dropped the oil pan and found metal shavings in the oil so now I am going down the road again for another engine after only putting roughly 3k miles on it since the last.

I don't drive hard nor do I offroad this thing other than some very light trails. Also, I have always been extremely anal about my vehicles and keep up on maintenance religiously. Even with the new requirements for oil changes I still perform them way earlier than the recommendations and even had the dealer do an oil change at 500 miles after the first new engine was put in.

This will be the third engine in this thing including the original. I know this has got to be an extremely rare situation so I wanted to get everyone's opinions as to what you all would do if you were in my situation.

Does the vehicle sit outside where someone could sabotage?

cannot think of another reason specific to a vehicle you would lose two in a row, unless they reused a lot of parts and did not clean them up.

Nope, Garage Kept. I thought the same thing when they told me it was the flex plate. I was making the assumption that maybe the tech didn't install something correctly. I should probably have a conversation with the tech and see what exactly was done the first time and what parts if any were reused.

My guess would be entire top end and front dress. Lots of opportunity to contaminate if not done right. Ask if they used a mopar rebuild or some other company.

I wonder if this would classify the vehicle as a lemon.
