Here's a pic of mine.

I could not find the discount code. I used it last year, so it'll probably be no good anyways. Try to contact Steinjager and see if they'll send you a code.

looks good! Are you happy with it? Have you tested it on the trail?
Does it function well as a step?

Yes, I am happy with them and I have bashed them pretty hard to show bare metal. They support my Jeep and I've pivoted on them before. I'll spray them with black bedliner and call it a day. If you're inclined to do a search, Im sure I posted about the discount code somewhere on here.

I found my post. LOL

FYI. They are in stock on Steinjager's site. I ordered a set for my JLUR on Jan 2nd with a scheduled delivery via UPS this Wednesday the 12th. I used the discount code "JTS10" for 10% off. No Tax or shipping cost. I hope this helps someone save a few bucks!

One other tip, plenty of people have posted about issues with a couple of the body bolts (red locktite). I bypassed that by paying my dealer to install them (wasn't much) and if any bolts broke they had to repair them (my Jeep is still under warranty).

I thought that was the body bolt that you had to remove to get the stock rock rails off. You didn’t have to remove it for the LOD? How do you like those? Have you trail tested them?
My LOD's haven't been bashed yet. Recently another post just popped up about some body damage with the LOD's. The spacing was a bit off and LOD was looking into it. Sounds like maybe an isolated instance.

As for my previous ACE rails, they did start to show some rust around the welds after 3-4 years. Easy to touch up. Very stout and looked good.

I installed my Ace Slider's in August 2018. They have seen over 55,000 miles use and dealt with Upstate NY Winter's and Florida's salt and sand.. and a lot of use.

Other then a few tiny tiny nicks, they look a good new. I do routinely clean and wax the sliders.

My Son has a set on his 2014 Jk and has had issues with rusting and some powder coat separation but that is because hos JK sits out all Winter long and he rarely rarely cleans them or waxes them...

Anyway, upkeep is the key probably.. Like anything, leave them be, do not protect and they fall victim to the elements.

They touch up easily with Rustoleum Bedliner Coating.

IMPORTANT: ACE Engineering the company was sold fairly recently... a few month ago. SO, who knows if the workmanship, quality, powder coat is as good as when the original Ace Engineering made them.

The new @ACE Engineering (Forum Sponsor)... care to comment?

I have them. The welds are garbage. The finish was all jacked up on one end. I have beat the hell out of them though and they have held up well. Bought them in 2019 so no idea if they’ve gotten better or worse. I wouldn’t buy them again, but they’re doing the job for me.

Not sure what the difference is, but mine are fantastic, and I'm the second owner... Not so much as a scratch in the paint, etc. I'd buy them again in an instant.

Had a pair for my JK, loved them so much I got a pair for the JL. The JK ones we beat the snot out of, never had a real issue.

The ones for my JL are simply being used for steps and to keep the door dings away till I can get some time to get out on the trails.

The only thing I would recommend, is some skateboard tape or 2 inch grip tape to put on the top of the slider if you use it primarily as a step, my mother in law almost broke a hip when she tried to climb in and the slider was wet.

This can be avoided by simply making sure your foot contacts the rock rail as well.
