Yep - agreed with @RisingEagle.

I have both features on my Grand Cherokee - so I assume anything on a Wrangler would be similar.

Auto-wipers work just as described. I get confused for a second when I drive any other vehicle and have to manually operate vehicles lol. You set it once and forget it. And it is so nice. They come on and turn off automatically and adjust the speed as well.

On my wife’s X5, they are not nearly as nice. You have to hit the “auto wiper” button each time you turn the vehicle on - they do not stay on between drives. Stay on between drives is a big difference maker.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is amazing. 4 distances to choose from on my GC, and it will increase your speed up to the max speed you tell it to, to maintain the distance you set. It will also slow down, of course. I use this not only for highway, but also city driving. There IS a safety feature in this. The distance between me and the vehicle in front of me is definitely increased since I started using this. I just have it set to always give the max distance, and now there’s no temptation to tailgate when I’m in a hurry or a rush.

Lastly, not yet mentioned is automatic high beams (brights). Works just like the auto-wipers. Turn it on, and it stays on. It senses when there are oncoming cars and turns off your brights. When there are no cars in front of you, it turns them back on. Very nice option - and it’s frustrsting driving my wife’s car - she also has automatic brights, but just like the wipers, I have to remember to turn on the auto function each time I turn her vehicle on.

I am not sure if you are trolling or just misinformed?

When somebody gets the select a trac option they can place the transfer case into full time 4WD. They can also shift into 4Hi and 4Lo. Choosing Select A Trac option does not make the Jeep two wheel drive.

All Jeeps are two wheel drive until you use the transfer case to shift into 4 wheel drive whether that be Full Time (select a trac), 4Hi, or 4Lo.
That is good to know. Jeep makes it confusing with all of the 4x4 options available. Some one in an earlier post on this thread mentioned something about wanting to have two wheel drive in their jeep. From what I read about jeep I was fairly certain selec a trac did have a true 2 wheel drive.

No, true 2 Wheel drive wouldn't have a transfer case at all and would just have a driveshaft going directly from the transmission to the rear axle.

All other Jeep models to have 2 wheel drive as standard, but the wrangler does not.

I thought all Wranglers were 4x4 all the time with variations on how the 4x4 worked. I never thought Wranglers were made with 2 wheel drive only configuration. That would be crazy. I do see that with the rear Dana 44 upgrade you get LSD in 2 wheel drive.
LSD in two wheel drive is standard with Toyota.

Yes, all wranglers are 4x4. All other jeep models (Renegade, Compass, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee) are 4x2 with 4x4 optional.

The wrangler had this in the JK (08-09 I believe) but they got rid of it and made ALL wranglers 4x4 by default. You could still find a 2008 JK Wrangler 2WD.

See how confusing it gets. Without context its crazy.
I gave plenty of context, as we we're talking about the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with Select-track transfer case in this thread.

You said "but the wrangler does not". I am telling you the wrangler did, but the JK. The JL does not :)

I am fully aware of the few years the JK had a (very poorly selling) 4x2 model... I've taken one on a test drive myself, wasn't a fan.
I shouldn't have to be so specific in all of my statements about the time frame when we're discussing a new model, otherwise I would be quoting all the models Jeep has produced from now back to the Willys MB.

And realize apple play works so not too upset.
Because of this option, nav was by no means a must-have for me (plus I've never had it before) as car play works awesome. I did want the larger screen however and ended up with nav because of it.

The Sahara - for the new guy just getting into the Jeep world - appears to be targeted at the "I want something that looks offroadish and could do some light trails, but I don't want a minivan or soccer-mom-suv" daily driver type people.
As a new guy coming from sport luxury looking for something that provides utility (SUV or truck) I was very aware that all Jeeps are more than capable off-road (at least, according to countless youtube vids of bone stock Wranglers tackling mild-difficult trails). It came down to a fairly loaded Tacoma and the Sahara. Options in the Taco sucked, so Sahara it was. So for me, the Sahara hit my target of selecting between similar off-road/utility vehicles with the most options w/o the need to go rock crawling.

My "context" statement was just a qualifier. You are mostly correct. The statement I made applied to the current configurations available across the Wrangler models. Is select a trac new to the Wrangler in 2018? They also have a conamd trac and rock trac. A Jeep with one wheel spinning in two wheel drive, with out the Dana 44 upgrade, just seemed odd to me.
When I think of Jeep Wrangler I think of all time 4x4 for daily driving. with optional sections for different configurations for gearing and traction etc. in the high and low positions. Thats all it was.

Yes, Select-track is new to the Wrangler this year as an option on the Sahara. Command-track is standard on Sport and Sahara, and the Rock Track is standard on the Rubicon.
