Yes it happens sometimes but it seems to do it when turning out of the driveway where the Jeep has to articulate a little.
OK, you are describing the same thing I had and it was the ball joints.

Alright I’ll check them and see if they are torqued to spec. Do you know what they should be torqued to?

OK, here's a tip... if you are trying to capture a clicking sound in a video when you turn DON'T have the turn signal on (it too clicks) :)
Haha I know it’s a habit

That's the problem, what the factory says isn't enough. That's why they are loose. I simply tightened them down until they stopped clicking while I was tightening. Yep, mine were actually making the clicking noise as I tightened them.

FORWARD:
The Jeep has been to the dealer to have this issue looked at. I was hearing a clicking noise and a knocking noise coming from the front end. Dealer went over every bolt associated with front end suspension and found that one of the shock bolts was 3/4 turns loose. That stopped one of the sounds but not the other.

When I go over certain speed bumps, the kind which are pretty aggressive, the front end will make a clicking noise. It goes like this... hit the speed bump, front suspension compresses, sometimes the bump stops are hit, the it springs upward (possibly full extension but not certain), makes a clicking sound and then returns to normal position.

The aggravating thing is it does not do it on every bump only the more pronounced ones. I took the Jeep and ran it straight up onto a curb. I could hear the bump stops being hit and then nothing else. So I hit the curb harder causing more compression and recoil and I could hear the clicking.

I've never had a Jeep or a solid front axle vehicle so I don't know if this is normal. It seems odd for a suspension to click when it is on full extension. I have another appointment at the dealer Wednesday. The Mrs. is cranky because I was going to put a lift on it this weekend but I know as soon as I do that they won't even bother looking at it as a warranty issue because I changed the suspension.

I hear the clicking on the front driver side. I tightened the bottom ball joint nut another 1/2 turn and put the cotter pin back in. As I lowered it off the floor jack i heard it click 3 times quickly. Ugh.

Did you tighten them with Jeep on the ground or on jack stands. I’ve got mine super tight, a bit afraid to even move them to next slot for cotter pin, but they’re noisy as hell. What did you toque them too to make them quiet.

Wow. I did mine while it was on the ground and literally tightened them until they stopped clicking as I was tightening them. I didn't set a torque spec on it I simply, out of sheer frustration, tightened the heck out of them... lol.
I understand what you are saying about over tightening and wish I could offer more help but that's what I did. That was probably 40k miles ago at this point and I've never had a problem and have wheeled the heck out of it.
Wait... I just remembered, I swapped out axles around 20k miles ago... lol. Well on the old axles I had still put a good 20k miles on them after I did the tightening.

I would rather not waste my time on this at a dealer.
