Can someone please assist me with this clicking noise coming from the front axle area of my 2021 jl Wrangler. The noise randomly happens only in four wheel drive. The Jeep has been at the dealer for two weeks and they haven’t been able to figure it out. I have spent multiple hours ensuring all bolts in the suspension are torqued and the ball joints tight. The short video is creeping forward and back in the driveway. Out on the trail it can be even louder. It seems as though a bunch of energy is released when the clicking occurs. Thanks

My JLUR (sold) made a similar noise. Never figured it out. Ball joint torque was s*** from factory. A shop claimed to fix it, but they also butchered 2 regears and told me my caster was -6 degrees. Fools. . .
My current theory is that my LCA’s were insufficiently torqued. There is a typo on the sticky and I followed the sticky. Did you torque them to 190 ft-lbs?
Edit: nvm, it wouldn’t do this on stands. My best guess is a backlash issue.

Thanks. I need to check the FAD
I don’t know if this could be the noise culprit. E locker perhaps echoing out to the drive side?

No, life has been to busy. The dealer and have spent to much time attempting to figure it out. At this point I’m going to let it ride and see what happens.
Not the best thing to do but don’t have a choice until I find a good mechanic.

i gotcha, i have noticed the same issue with mine. it really sounds like it is coming from inside the front diff but mine isn't a rubicon so its definelty not an e locker noise.

retired, grumpy, yet, friendly
mechanics stethoscope and start doing what you did in video trying all the spots it might be from.

OK my bad, is that a go pro? Might have to jack all four off ground and try it then in 4x4.

You do not have a locker?

i haven't tried it in 4wd, good idea. While I was rotating my tires the other day and noticed it. Sadly no locker(yet) still debating on the route I am going take with axle upgrades.
