I’ve noticed a loud clicking when going over speed bumps in my JL. It started around 9000 miles and has become progressively worse over the past 1000 miles.

I took it to the dealer under the assumption it was the ball joint issue people have brought up on the forums multiple times, yet the dealer claimed they checked the torque and everything is fine. They claim the issue is my lift (Rock Krawler 3.5”), yet they are unable to tell me what part of my lift it is, so I find it hard to believe they know that for certain. Has anyone had an issue similar to this, but caused by something other than the ball joints? I did the lift at around the 8000 mile mark, no issues at all before this, and as far as aftermarket parts are concerned, everything is torqued and installed properly.

I have it on my Rubicon, they replaced the front hub assembly and it didn't fix it, they are now replacing the whole front axle assembly M210, there is a service bulletin out on this issue.

I just looked up that issue, a thread on it made it seem like that noise is constant. Mines only when turning or going over bumps. That’s why I thought ball joints.

I’m pretty sure the dealer just gave me the run around, though. They wanted to charge me $320 on top of the $160 they already charged to find the exact location of the clicking, yet they were able to say with certainty it wasn’t a warranty part... FCA service departments are the worst I’ve ever experienced.

This is audio/video of the noise from a GoPro mounted on my winch bar, facing the right side of the front axle. I have no clue what this can be.
