What is happening in this video? I’m confused.

Did you tighten them with Jeep on the ground or on jack stands. I’ve got mine super tight, a bit afraid to even move them to next slot for cotter pin, but they’re noisy as hell. What did you toque them too to make them quiet.

Kinda in the same boat, same exact noise, it’s so annoying! I’ve tightened all ball joints above spec and noise still persist.. I do seem to hear it on many other JLs but nobody seems very concerned by it.

Is it a clicking ticking noise type noise you’re referring too? I’m not hearing a clunk

So the bronze bushing is lined up but still won’t accept grease?

Chances are very likely it was lined up when installed. I’ve had 2 separate bearing supports Spin in just 2 months time. Both hand lubed prior and even paint marked bronze bushing. Each only took a few weeks before they spun. I’ve since removed that piece with no intention of reinstalling...

You’re right, the creak, rattle and popping is definitely from rear bar, more on passenger side. its driving me crazy, can’t seem to get it to go away. I’ve tried foam tape, adjusting, loosening, and tightening. Called Bestop cus Serv and they said weird, haven’t heard of that issue ever before.

Try lubing with silicon spray or 303, not ideal but helps.

Did you get it sorted out with bestop? I have a similar creekeing and popping noise from mine. More affected by bumps (likely body flexing) just driving slow speeds. I’m also getting some lite flappingnoise when it’s closed with mild breaze and windows up, no air leaks tho. Any suggestions to...

Did you find out if that’s normal or if something is failing.

For those that own and installed this RR cast hinge have issues with gaps where hinges go through body to the inner tub? Is there any rubber gaskets or sealant to be sure there is no gaps for moisture or dirt to get in? Any issues or suggestions? TIA

I believe Mc suggest factory torque spec which is quite low on JL due to aluminum knuckles
